All ordinances performed in each temple are of God. If we remain clean in our thoughts and actions and are slow to anger Heavenly Father will help us so that we will feel peace inside of us. The power and influence of God is inside each LDS temple, but for us to be partakers we need to keep our minds still waiting to receive

The new generation today should have videos such as this to watch. Every generation sees things differently. Rather than think this is "old fashioned" they need remakes in today's acting and language.

8:48 “Sacred truths that are unfolded.” I can never learn anything at the temple. It’s so cryptic. You can’t figure it out outside the temple either because you are under oath to not discuss it outside. I try and try but have yet to have that wonderful experience so many gush about. I continue to go to do work for my ancestors or just hoping that maybe this time there will be something. Nothing. I feel more and learn more at church and during personal scripture study than I ever do at the temple.

You are not alone. I went dozens of times over the 38 years I spent in the church. I left with a "sick feeling" in my stomach every single time that I was in some sort of a "cult." It was very scary to me. Many things have changed in the past few decades. I remember when I got endowed and married in 1978 that the "vows" we took were violent and very scary. I didn't like the getting naked part under the poncho which is NO longer done. Thankfully. The rituals were changed in 1990 and we left shortly thereafter. Good luck to you. Keep your faith. You don't have to be LDS to know Jesus Christ.

@@ilovemybrats2 The scriptures teach the things that are in the Temple. So you are doing what you think you are not doing. Learn more about the 5 covenants (which you can speak of anywhere….) There are only a few things you should not discuss but most everything else is in the scriptures…

"And other ordinances for the glory, honor and endowment of the saints"? Not for the glory and honor of God or for Jesus? At least this video is honest in that. The endowment is very much centered on the self. It's all about what the person will attain in the next life, ie., powers, dominions, principalities, to become a king and priest to God.

I spent 38 years in the church (birth in 1954-1992), I married in the temple in 1978. I had three children. We left the church when I did five years of research and found out IMO the church was not true. It was heartbreaking and devastating but we had to leave. I was a relief society president at one time and my husband was a bishop. (He was a convert at age 16). I do believe people need to be better informed of what they are going to have to commit to in the temple. My entire extended family is LDS way back to the time of Joseph Smith in New York. I love them all. That doesn't make the church "true." It is a high demand religion which stresses "works" rather than "faith" to gain eternal life.
