Thank you for your video. I love it. Right now I have old sheets draped over my metal shelves down in the basement to keep the dust down. We also store the winters wood down there so it's always dusty. I don't mind dust. I fell in love with five gallon buckets for storage just because they were easy. Easy to get, easy to handle, easy to store, easy to reuse, just plain easy. Then I discovered the joys of 45 and 35 gallon Food Grade barrels. Plastic and metal. Until I had to move one of them that is. Those things are not so easy. They have huge insulated Fish totes they use for shipping tons of fish at a time in water and ice so they have tight lids and it just so happens, a half ton of whole Wheat fits in one perfectly. I ain't moving that thing when it's full and it's full now. It measures about four foot "cubed". Maybe four and a half. Sprinkle in lots of D.E. for insect control. I managed to get 60 pints of Bar Clams pressure canned. Only $70 a crate and I did two crates one at a time. It takes me two days to process a crate of Bar Clams but well worth the effort. IMHO Keep up the great work and good luck.

Great idea! Thank you! I store mine in under bed plastic totes stacked on top of each other. I always put something heavy on top of the upper tote. It has kept out mice 😊.

Metal shelving with wheels so the shelves can be side by side and moved when I need access to something. (Instead of a walk way between each shelving unit, I have one walk way and move shelves to access the other shelves) Glass jars and cans on shelves, things in pouches or boxes etc go into plastic bins . I use a bungee cord stretched across top shelf to hang a curtain on so the bins of food are not in the light.

Found an old metal filing cabinet. Mostly just Rubbermaid totes but I know they aren't mouse proof.

Your metal filing cabinet should work really well! Thanks for visiting our channel.

Currently using an existing pantry in my basement. I had to block out sunlight from the window. Food rotation is a challenge.

We haven't been doing this long enough for food rotation to be a challenge for us, but I can see that it will be later! I might try to catalog everything to try to keep up with it. Thanks for visiting our channel.

We do some in Mason jars, and I really like them. I like being able to see my freeze dried product. Thanks for visiting.
