68 years old single, buying my home . The Holy Spirit has prompted me to start small backyard orchards, gardens, etc. Didn't Joseph prep? If I am gone home to the Lord, I have neighbors and siblings.

Just came across your channel. Not a guy but excellent advice. I prepare & have for quite some time. Gives peace of mind. I've heard way to many Christians say God will provide & they refuse to even have a few items for bad weather. I don't believe God wants us to take absolutely no responsibility for ourselves.

I have heard Christian people say they just trust Jesus, they don’t need to prepare. I ask them if they have life insurance, and they all do. Should someone save money for retirement, of course they should. If you trust Jesus to feed your family in tough times but don’t trust him to provide otherwise then you are a hypocrite.

Didn't Jesus tell Joseph to prepare for the seven years of famine that was to come,so he gathered food in times of plenty so he would have in his barn food in times of famine

What tough times? End times? Tribulation and birth pains? That seems to be the implication I'm getting from most Christians. So, how exactly does that compare to life insurance? As in, life insurance anyone would get during 'normal' times, so to speak. Is Jesus right around the corner? Could be. Perhaps not. Not even The Son knows. So, if the context is prepping for 'doomsday' then I don't get it. Are we not supposed to go through the tribulations? The amount of scripture twisting that needs to be done to support this mental illness says enough. And do yourself a favor and stop going to the Old Testament. Jesus finished it. We are to go and make disciples of all the nations, pray for Jesus' hastening, and be like the birds who neither sow nor reap, neither toil nor work and yet God still provides for them. We are not to ask ourselves "What will I wear tomorrow?" or "What will I eat tomorrow?" . Prepping is literally the EXACT OPPOSITE of all those.

Yes, without even watching the video. We are preppers by default, we prep for the next world and by propriety we also prep in this one because we are not to be foolish.

To me saying that you’re just gonna trust in God as the foundation for why you are not going to attempt to be prepared for something very challenging that could happen is the belief that God doesn’t allow bad things to happen since you believe in him. Nowhere in the Bible does it state you won’t go through hardships simply because you trust in the Lord. It’s the same expectation of God that atheist use as “proof” he doesn’t exist, that is that if a all knowing and all just Creator exist, he would not allow bad things to occur. That’s just my thoughts on it.

God is warning mankind in advance to be wise and prep for future catastrophe. Only those who believe and follow Christ spiritually will be saved. These are the people that will prepare for the worst. Trade will diminish and supply chains will be hit badly. Prep now while all supplies are available in the market.

Pure heresy. Please stop going to the Old Testament and scripture twisting to justify this. Jesus finished it all and we live under the new covenant. We are to GO therefore, and make disciples out of all the nations. It's plain and clear. Matthew 6:26 "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" Short excerpt from a commentary --- "Jesus has commanded His followers not to store up wealth for themselves on earth, but to instead store up "treasure" in heaven by living righteously out of sincere devotion to God (Matthew 6:19-24). To those who might be tempted towards greed or materialism, this is a sobering warning. Recently, Jesus has applied that same idea to those who are in no immediate danger of stockpiling wealth: the poor. Those who do not know where the money for food, drink, and clothing will come from can still be overly concerned about material things. Christ says that believers ought not live in anxiety about these basic needs of life. Life is about more than just food and clothing-there is meaning and purpose even if you do not have these things. To live in worry about the money we don't have is living under the control of money, rather than the control of God. Living to serve God includes trusting Him to provide what is needed without living in fear and anxiety." Luke 12:16-21 "And He [Jesus] told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” Another parable with the same message Luke 12:27-31 "Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you-you of little faith! And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. Shortly after Luke 12:54-56 "He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?" 2 Peter 3:11-16 " Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction." Revelation 6:15-17 "Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” *I don't think it gets any clearer than that*

So, why do we grow gardens? Why do we work? Why do we shop for clothing? I agree with God's word. I also know the Holy Spirit is our teacher. Look up Rhema.
