Nice video. It is much easier if you do it from the hide side when the hide is still damp after processing them.

Thanks Barry, most informative info I've seen always comes from your articles and posts. I think they'd call me "thumbless Joe" if I tried that, lol! How you making out on the rainy day clean out? Very generous offer by the way. Well we had 14 inches of snow last night and our regular gun season for deer starts tomorrow. I'll see if I'm lucky enough to put all your deer hair prep to use! Thanks again!

Thanks Joe, good to know. Yeah you have to be careful with that knife! As we say in Norway, Skittjakt!

When I was a kid...meps paid 75 cents for a deer tail...25 cents for squirrels...they had to be skinned and salted...not a get rich quick scheme... yes...that was a while ago Btw...mule deer are a lot harder than white tails

We still get rewarded here $ 50 for fox and $35 for pine martin skins along with $5 for the left foot of any member of the crow family, but this is from our local hunting estate.

This was an awesome help for me, a great tip. I’m loving your videos, although I will admit I cringed watching you with that knife. Im a bit clumsy and I could just see myself slicing open my thumb. I’m going to have to work up the nerve to try it

Hi FRH, thanks very much, but take care with that knife...
