Aaron tell us more about render software or pluggins that happen inside SketchUp, like SuPodium and Thea. I am sure there's plenty more.

could you guys do a sketchup model prep for twinmotion? TM seems to be fast becoming the go to for realtime rendering.

I'd very much appreciate a video that discusses best practices for render output, including organizing the Outliner, Surface orientation, low poly, material indication, grouping vs. components, etc. etc. This will be the most boring video but super helpful. The best series I could find on SketchUp to Twinmotion was.... kzbin.infovideos Thanks!

I love how you've done the lights - that's another great option (I have started adding components into my actual light fittings to automatically swap for a light source). I hadn't considered using it to swap out trees and plants, which, tbh, is a bit silly of me, as that should have been really obvious. So thanks again for that!!

The texture maps within Sketchup are, well, a bit sketchy due to tiling. Is it possible to load other texture maps? Thanks for all the great and informative videos.

I have difficulty with interior views of my sketchUp models. Often my walls and ceilings look very dark. For example, a white ceiling will appear dark grey, unless the camera is pointed at it. Is there a way to create more realistic, or at least believable, interiors with out using a rendering program?

Great tips. I would have liked to see the rendered version at some point. :-)

Hi Aaron, that was very useful set of tips thank you. Is there any way to remove all the material mapping in one go prior to exporting to the rendering application (using the SketchUp materials to pre-visualise the model) By the way love the baseball cap, where can I purchase one?
@AaronMakingStuff3 жыл бұрын
You can remove colors from the whole model by just deleting them through the color windows. I feel like there is an extension that does that too... but I cannot think of a name. As for the hat, I had to put many hours in staffing a Trimble trade show booth to receive this badge of honor!!

Thanks Aaron, I’ll try and find the plugin. Know the feeling re trade show stands, was that all you got ?😉

We would love to, but, unfortunately, Aaron id not fluent in Spanish. You should be able to turn on CC and select Spanish, though!
