Chad!!! Use cayenne powder in your poultry feed!!! We switched over a few months ago and the rats were gone within a week!! I live in a suburb and my compost pile and run were rat city, cayenne dusted on top of the compost and mixed into the food was all it took to get them to move on. Birds aren’t bothered by spicy that’s why if you grow hot peppers in your garden the birds will eat them- but the mammals, squirrels and rats, will leave them alone entirely! @HiddenSpringFarm5 күн бұрын
yes we do eat the duck eggs but prefer chicken eggs though. We have a customer who buys 12-15 dozen eggs per month and its a chicken and duck combo. Sometimes I'll give the duck eggs to the pigs cause they love em. or we'll cook them up for the cats and Olive. and the chickens right now are hardly laying. The black leghorns and light sussex haven't laid any eggs for a few weeks now (which is normal for them). But it is odd that our best layers the rhode island reds are only giving 3-6 eggs daily. It might just be the time of year or some of them are getting older too. I don't mind really it's ok for them to have a break but at some point I'll need to think about succession planning.

I know you're a busy man, but some day, if you have some time on your hands, go in and sit there while the other cats are frolicking outside, and just sit quietly reading, and see if she approaches you. If you happen to have a bag of cat treats or catnip, I'm sure she would sidle over beside you. 😺

Love your videos. You might try some tomato varieties that More than Farmers grow. They produce like crazy. Check the tomatoes out at 16:30 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gF6te42iZZqgqtksi=Kygj4idJGyQPszrz Other good varieties are Amish Paste instead of san marzano and Big Beef, jet star and classic Beef Steak. More than Farmers grow mostly Amish Paste and Celebrity Plus. I am amazed by all the tomatoes they get from 11 tomato plants. I found a heritage tomato from Baker Creek seeds called German Lunchbox that produces like crazy and is the first to have fruit and ripen. It is best for sauces because it has a nice sweet flavor. It is slightly smaller than Roma style tomatoes. More than Farmers grew up Mennonite and get all their seeds from Berlin Seeds and their seeds seem to produce better than any I've bought elsewhere. Good luck. Keep up the fantastic attitude and work! The cedar trees look great!
