I have never hunted for anything other than feral eradication or for food. I have never had a need or want to take an animals life for a trophy. Another great info session Clay, I was trained in the Army, they teach skills suitable for many things but they dont teach the survival skills that i am learning from your vids. God bless and thank you brother. Bryan🙏🏼🛐

Great vid. I definitely need to gain the edible foods knowledge. I have a Gerber strong arm knife which is excellent, just be aware that there are counterfeit near exact copies, so best to get from an authorised dealer. Re. First aid courses there are also remote first aid courses available which I have wanted to do for many years. Must get around to it, sooner the better. Cheers from WA

Great video and informative on the topics that you covered 👍 I personally answer YES to all the questions you asked at the end.. I would also say that we have to learn to eat different foods, away from the textures or taste/flavors we are used to. I’m from southern European culture, where we eat just about all part of the animal or fish… except fur,claws and bones 😂 Foraging also something that I learned from young age.. and not only for wild green edibles,fruits but also medicine plants.. first aid also covered as I was a volunteer paramedic for 4 years.. looking forward to see your next video. All the best mate!

More great advice. I laughed when you mentioned that you know great target shooters who can't hunt. So true. I am one. Working on it.

I've been doing preparedness for many years and only just found your channel this morning! Good onya mate! Around here, (Northern Country, Victoria), it would be Prickly Pear species (pads and fruit) , Agave americana (boiled), Portulaca (boiled), Dock and Wild Native Parsnip. The advantage of Prickly Pear species is they have masses of nutrition but also calories, in the form of sugars. Both the pads and fruit have so much sugar in them, that you can brew them into alcohol! Ditto for Agave americana, which is the source of Agave syrup (sold commercially in Mexico and South America) and of course tequila! A. Americana grows everywhere in the Aussie Bush, especially around abandoned homesteads, and it is also a good source of emergency water, as are all prickly pear species. Next would be carpobrotus and lampranthus, pigfaces. These need to be boiled but are a good emergency food and water supply, although they might be quite salty in hyper-arid areas such as the Nullarbor. But you can distil them, to get rid of the salt and make pure water. Thank you for your hard work, and God Bless!

I wish someone would kick my ass and show me how to find a local group to learn these skills. As an older female living on the gold coast it's hard to find like minded ppl that are willing to share knowledge or teach ppl like me the skills. I'm plodding along as best I can but need help. People here boast they will be ok but keep knowledge tight lipped. I'm watching as many videos as I can but I need hands on learning. Looking at a picture in a book and identify it on the ground is easier said than done. Thank you for your video's as I am learning from them. xx

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Much appreciated. I have a question. Are there any rules of thumb about when to change a water filter or is it just guess work? (eg. taste, smell, colour.....)
@AustralianSurvivalism6 ай бұрын
Hi Leonie. Generally the filter will become clogged and cease flowing.

The trick is relearn to eat less and less. People eat way too much. GOD has been training me to eat very little.

Much depends on the environment you will need more if very cold and your energy expenditure.
