The name "Prepper" has a negative stigma, but not enough Australians are prepared for a local bushfire or Flood in their own local area. Every Australian in a Flood or Fire prone area needs to be prepared for these emergence events. 'Preppers' are not delusional, they are just prepare for a range of natural or manmade disasters.

I grew up on a small farm, we had a vegetable garden, fruit trees, herbs, chooks etc. Mum preserved and bottled. My grandad was a hunter fisherman and woodsman, he pickled and smoked meats and fish. My Dad worked long hours to afford the other things a family needed. I can’t believe how lucky I was to grow up in this environment. Now in my 60s I have a bedroom as a pantry, it’s just natural.

Fantastic attitude mate. I'm all for it. We have to get back to grassroots and apply basic creative ideas towards feeding yourself. I'm in the suburbs in Brisbane living on a tiny block. I'm very fortunate but hard work has got me a space where I'm at least have a speck of space to learn to grow food. I have found robust plants that grow readily like weeds. I let many of these weedy edibles flower and then collect the seeds. I'm starting to introduce these edible weeds around the neighbourhood. I can identify them and encourage others and my friends do the same. I'm trying to plant edible perennial herbs and flowers around my place that can be used for medicine and teas. Ive planted a couple of fruit trees to at least have something that's going to produce food for the years to come. I'm even going to build a rocket stove out of waste bricks. There is plenty of fuel from Parkland and reserves to create a fire and cook for cheap. I recycle all my food scraps with a homemade Bokashi system. I make fertiliser from inedible weeds and garden trimmings. Anything organic gets dug back into what little ground I have otherwise it goes into any containers I can find. It's all a learning curve but I'm learning. I brew my own alcohol, I make bread. I grow microbes. I do what a can to enhance and encourage my own little sustainable space and not have to rely on the corporate tyrants. I work away and my time to do all this is limited to everything. I'm going to start preserving foods too. I'm jyst trying to build up and bring back some old school skills that have been lost through the generations. We must endure and adapt to the reality that we are facing. If all fails then I'll be happy that I've had a go. I'm 62 and I'm still in the game. You'll be surprised what you can do, it's never too late. We can all become mini preppers and help each other. I haven't got the capacity to run away to the country. We need to stand our ground and begin with what we have around now.

i 100% agree: plant trees that provide food, EVERYONE! in Qld every street corner could/should have a mango or avo tree. down south: apples, oranges, cherries, stone fruit, these trees provide food for years.

I truly believe that we are the wise ones and the unprepared are fools and even if we do not survive a SHTF event ( hoping it never happens ) , we will certainly last longer than the ones that call us crazy . Our Ancestors always prepared for hard times and that was all well and good but we do the same thing and those fools just laugh at us , well I say , who will have the last laugh ??? . Cheers Mate , regards and best wishes , Respect , 👍🇦🇺

Prepping in nth qld is a nightmare. Bury something and floods will rot everything. If power goes out food will rot. 60 degrees in my house with no aircon or fans. It also floods so I must build everything a metre off the ground. Growing veggies is another trial I’ve been unsuccessful for six years even growing perennials. Weeds are the only things that survive here. I planted my garden and fertilised it then the floods came and washed away seeds and fertiliser. lol what a battle between weeds, bugs and rain.. love living here though. Think I need to do hydroponics in the house and I’m sure I’ll be more successful.

Awesome video, mate. We're preppers as well. I live in country SA and we see what this government is slowly doing to our country lands. Our Australian government knows what's coming. They have no interest in us, aussie people. The days are coming to a close. People who live in ignorance will not survive the onslaught that's about to take place. Just saying!

This guy knows his stuff. Not paranoid, just practical. It's really expensive to hoard food in Australia because of our supermarket duopoly. Prices are artificially high due to lack of competition and the range of products is kept small. Even New Zealand has cheaper groceries than us because they have many more independent supermarket chains. He'll be the Boss in the Aussie Walking Dead lol👍 (As long as he doesn't tear up in front of his team 😕 there's obviously some ancestral trauma there...)

Propping is a wise thing to do as trouble moves on the horizon. One of the best considerations in propping is knowing the Lord. He will not just save us from turmoil in the world. He will save us from eternal turmoil too. Deception is growing all over the world. Today, find the way and the truth and the life in Yeshua. He will protect you.

The first rule of prepping is don’t tell anyone you are prepping and all this you have blabbed to a lot of people. The reality is though 99% of Australians are normalcy Norman’s who will never look at this video and will be out today buying on demand and completely clueless as to what is going on in the world. The end of days is coming, it’s called the last day, the day of the Lord and it comes with a last trumpet and a shout from the King of kings……the best prep for that day is know Him.
