Yes, I totally enjoy watching your videos whenever you get them loaded. They're a treat to watch, and I love your hand-painted wispy design wherever you decide it works. It's lovely. I was surprised you hadn't ever heard votive to describe very small, short candles (like tea lights only slightly larger) and any small, short holders for them, but no worries - just think of votive as rhyming with "motive" - it's that simple. Just another term to add to your decor vocabulary.

I think it’s a catholic thing! You see votive candles in Catholic Churches all the time! You can light one in memory of a loved one or as a prayer for a loved one!

I am from Upstate NY and we use the word "votive" all the time. In fact, my mother collects Vintage and antique votive candle holders lol 😜 When you were trying to pronounce it and asking your sister and her boyfriend, I kept saying it out loud to my phone... "It's VOTIVE Amanda" 🤣🤣 Anyhow... today wasn't a bad video at all‼️ I love tagging along no matter what you are doing. Votive candles are used in churches before saints' pictures, crosses, on altars. They are lit before you offer up prayers. Pronounced super easy: vo.tiv. Most Catholics would know the word as they are part of The stuff in Catholic churches.☺

This is a great video. It's just Votive. 'Voe' like Doe (the deer).. 'tiv' like live (live laugh love)- there's no "L". hehe. The votive candle is the short stumpy looking candle that's about 2-3 inches tall but only about 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide I think. Not a short pillar. :) Love your channel!
