Every couple of months I have the random thought: what if Brent gets tired of posting videos and stops?” It’s a horrific moment and it takes me a few days and his next upload to get over it. Gives me cold sweats. Please keep em rocking Brent. You get me thru many days! Pablo really wanted the pilot’s seat when you got in the model A. 😊👍👍

I was born in 1944. My father, both my uncles and my grandfather all drove model A coupes. When I close my eyes I can clearly recall the sound of those old 4 bangers putt putt putting along. A strange sound when you think about it. Kind of a metalic clanking mixed in. I remember looking out the windshield and seeing the hood, fenders and glistening chrome radiator and headlights pushing their way along the highway. How I miss those days.

love that model A pu and the wide 5 wheels on it . but my favorite is the 50 buick . you have and build sooo many cool cars an trucks !!

You’ve got a nice collection there for sure but that General is the best build on YT.
@mikescudder46213 жыл бұрын
Yeah he really nailed the look of the General. When it appeared, just briefly, in this video i was thinking to myself how much i´d like to see public reaction to it. I don´t think Brent is the type to film stuff like that but if he takes it to a car show one day it´d be interesting to see.

Best description, Its a bit of this and a bit of that.....for being a conglomeration of odd parts , the look and flavor is still intact. It promises to be nothing more than it is, 13:30 a cool looking old pickup going down a dirt road, some guy and his dog enjoying the ride. That's too kool for skool... Thanks Brent , you're full of nice surprises.

Liked how you described each hot rod on what and why it was built. Loved it. also the video of the old Rods driving down the Highway with the nice green color contrast and the drone footage at the end was a great bookend effect.

Brent: I know what you mean about changing stuff. My Willis coupe still has the original rear leaf springs (de-arched) with an 8 inch Ford hanging off them. We ran a piece of box tubing ( when I was a kid) over the axle to mount the shocks. I ran air shocks for years for clearance, but I haven't found a set that doesn't leak Anyway, if I hit a good sized bump the rear axle hits the bar, bottoms out and the glove box pops open throwing it's contents all over the place! It's been like that for 30 yrs. Maybe someday. I rather watch you fix stuff instead!🤣

@unknownsoul133 жыл бұрын
Your Tall-T stance is a perfect speedster/flat tracker stance. Cut the lid off and turn her into a roadster and it would look the part even more so. I keep seeing that sweet pickup pulling a teardrop camper dressed like one from back in the day. To me that would be a great vacation cruiser (maybe a Chevy 4.3L under the hood as the only change that I "might" consider). And those two have converted me to the Patina look. Love them both.

Your truck looks awesome, you did a great job on it. It must be nice to be able to drive a different hot rod or classic car every day for two weeks or more. Keep this up and you'll be able to drive one every day for two months or more if not already. Now I might off on my day numbers, because I am not sure how many hot rods and classic cars you have running at this time, but whatever the number, the ones I have seen are bad ass and look great. You need to build another hot rod as you mentioned in a video previously a few weeks ago, I think it's time. I know you have your ideas already and when its time you'll let us know.

You have such a good eye when it comes to making a project look right. When you first pulled the model A in the shop I thought "what a clean semi original truck" but it was cool to see a modern motor with FI, the T hot rod was just as cool. I think if I had to pick I would pick the model A I like the semi stock looking rods.

What I like most on your documentaries is that I learn something new each time. Simple things such as those wheels on this rig is really interesting. Clearly old stuff but great to see them on the road in use. Old farmers seem to keep finding uses for the parts. Enjoyed the inner-rockers on the previous video. No clue why they made it that way. More interesting to see someone weld and rebuild parts that seem hopeless. I guess they are not. It doesn't matter if it is a mix of parts or not painted. I'm not a welder but have a mig-welder and tried a few sparks here and there. I learn from you that it can be fixed, no problem.

@fitzeesfabrications3 жыл бұрын
Two cool rigs. I love everything about the pickup. Heater. Modern running gear. Stock appearance. You need to take your full collection of drivers and do a video on them in the field. You have a nice collection of builds. I give my left nut to have a 3rd of the old Iron you have. Nothing around here like that. Cost of getting stuff from out west is a arm and a leg 2 to 3 grand in shipping alone.

I like the 2.2 4 cyl idea. Everyone wants to stuff in a big V8 but totally not necessary. The Chevy 4 banger puts out several times the power of the original engine. Plenty of power for a runabout.

Love that Model A. Nice to see something without the standard small block Chevy. Not including the LS of course. So nice with the 5 speed too. You have some great iron in Canada.
