It's always their fix for period problems. My doctor is holistic so she doesn't prescribe real birth control, she gives me progesterone (normal hormone that we produce) on day 18 of my cycle, I take it for 10 days and it helps me regulate my cycle. I have PCOS and endo so that's also a factor. Maybe that might help? It doesn't make me feel any different, just pms symptoms like normal.

Omg Carooo I feel you about the birth control. It messed up my body so badly that after using it for a year I had pcos in the most strange way. Also it effected my mood so much in the worst way possible. Never using it again. After I quitted it my periods became better and regular. About these kind of late periods my grandma has a great recipe. Boil the onion’s skin (the orange part )and drink it. It will help you about late periods. Lysm❤

Hey Caro! Loving your videos so far ❤ Kimchi has salted shrimp and fish sauce in it, so if you're allergic to either or both, maybe that's why you vomited when you first tried it. There's a vegan option tho if you're still willing to try kimchi. Have fun visiting your boyfriend 🫶🏻

Hi Caro!! I was diagnosed with PMDD, hypothyroidism, and my mom has a history of endometriosis. I would suggest going to an endocrinologist and getting bloodwork done to see if your thyroid levels are off, bc our thyroid affects EVERYTHING. Hope this helps!! ❤

Hi!! Some advice here, i cut off birth control a year ago and it’s been a long journey but this is what I’ve learned: - late periods means you ovulated late, so try to eat foods that helps with the hormones that provoke ovulation - always track you symptoms so then you can associate them with your cycle - little things like all nighters or crappy food can alter your cycle - things like anxiety are more prominent on specific parts of your cycle

I used to have crazy, painful periods and was almost anemic from insomia, it wasn’t until I ate more protein (with lots of veggies) that my period started to normalize. I also went to the gym 4x a week and lifted heavy. But the main factor was eating more and healthier. I was never on birth control though, and I don’t think I ever will be. But hope your period normalizes. It does suck to be a girl some times 😭

I recommend trying wild yam cream. It’s topical so you don’t have to worry about taking anything internally. You use it on different pressure points two times a day (about a dime size) for the three weeks you aren’t on your period and you don’t use it at all the week of your period. It has helped with cramping, regulating my cycle, and even the length and heaviness of my cycle. Of course do your own research but I love it and recommend it to anyone who will listen and prefers holistic methods over bc pills.

I would say for the period stuff, definitely invest in a hormone test! There are ones that also will test cortisol levels and other stuff! I did one and it was so informative! It can help you specify what you are low in and can possibly give you some clarity

Also i never knew lavender with matcha is a game changer! Did you already do your summer giveaway? I feel like the trip to see your bf should just be with your bf, no need to vlog it especially when you get only that time to be with him!❤ I cannot wait to hear your new songg. Have you tried the beachwave? It literally is the easiest curler js. Im so surprised how ppl just tell girls to go on birth control. The amount of possible side effects is crazy… so i feel for you. Girls honestly have to go through so much moreso then boys

I kinda have the same problem never been in birth control but for some reason every 5 months I get my period twice in one month for 2 months in a row. Also when I was first starting my period I would have cramps & headaches even when I’m not on my period & I still sometimes do now. I don’t know if it’s normal but I’ve always dealt with my period sometimes being irregular. I know also when I’m stressed or don’t sleep enough I sometimes get like a mini period for a day & then it goes away.
@maggiemcculla5 ай бұрын
I also went on birth control to regulate my periods and I had some bad side effects, including high blood pressure so I got off of it and it took a solid year or two for it to be semi-normal, and to this day it is so different every month. I would suggest a good routine, but you are so self disciplined already like no way it's bc of a poor diet or lack of exercise. It's so frustrating that birth control is what is considered the cure all for bad periods, like there HAS to be a better way. Waiting for science/modern medicine to catch up to women's bodies and their needs in 2024 like whyyyyy

Hey Caro I have some chronic health issues and have been able to learn a lot! With your periods, doctors always go for the pharmaceutical approach, something they think is 'one size fits all' but it isn't. Doctors love to prescribe things for symptoms, but never the root cause, you need to listen to your body. The best thing I can recommended is seeing a naturopath who can dive so much deeper into your health, looking at hormones, environmental factors, heavy metal toxins, candida etc. There are literally so many things that impact our cycles, some that we can't necessarily control, but lots we can. Getting some tests done to see what could be the underlying issue is the best way to go :)
