Hi! I just stumbled onto this channel… and I want to say Thank You for this Awesome Video!!! ❤🫂 I live in Altadena, we got back from evacuation last week, (so very grateful, and lucky that our house is intact!!!), and I fell over some debris. I broke my arm and my orbital, bruised ribs, slight road rash & nerve damage to my face… so needless to say, this month has been Rough. I am halfway through this video, and watching it with your narration has been So Much Fun!!! It feels like a slumber party with a Bestie. 😊🎉 Just wanted to show you my appreciation for this, and I hope you are having a Blessed Night. Good Luck with your continued success!~ I am truly enjoying myself. Thank You!!! 🙏

I’m glad your house wasn’t affected and I hope the recovery period doesn’t suck too badly!!! It’s only the first month and despite everything I’m sure it’ll get better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

@ Nooooo, please don’t give it back ♥️🫂♥️ Although I appreciate the Very Kind sentiment, the day we were able to check on our house (because: looters), my husband & I raided our closets to donate coats, sweaters & shirts, business wear (because people without homes Still need to keep their jobs!), Gloves & mittens, jeans, sweats, footwear (business & casual), and even toiletries to Habitat For Humanity, as At The Time they were the only local place able to accept donations. If anything, maybe you could use your platform to ask for people of all sizes (from children’s sizes to plus sizes) to donate any clothes they have, (as it is Cold and people are shell-shocked), to Any Organization (especially women/children, & families in shelters) in the Altadena area. That would be wonderful!!! I cooked a bunch of meals, then the next day Broke myself into the mess I am right now. I am Very Fortunate, I just wish I could do MORE to help. My doctor released me to go home with the promise to stay in bed and heal… which is The Most helpless & frustrating feeling in the world. My husband said I could rent movies if I wanted to, as to keep me in bed (so that I don’t further injure myself 😵‍💫)… I came across your channel and this video, and it was 💯 Definitely worth a “rental fee”!!! You made me laugh, and you put SO much work into your craft!! I Honestly Thank You So Much, on a night I couldn’t sleep I felt like my Bestie was with me Speed-Watching SATC. It made me Very Happy amidst the pain. You Are Awesome, Funny & Spot-On with the commentary. Thank YOU!!! 🫂💯♥️💯🫂

Riiiight. It’s wild how her livelihood was supposedly about her sexual escapades and she was even more concerned about random “rules” than charlotte. It was also hilarious that the main actress was the one who refused to be shown topless. Like good for her for having her own standards, but the casting choice comically reflected the hypocrisy of the main character.

Mr Big was the quintessential handsome eligiable bachelor who had money. He had options and he enjoyed living a bachelor's life until he became old, lonely, sickley, and realized he didn't want to die alone. If we're being honest Carrie and Bigs story is pretty common for a ĺot of women. Women need to realize that just because you "win" the man doesn't necessarily mean you've actually won anything of real substance.

I was gonna say this! Something about being raised traditionally teaches young ladies that men are supposed to be rakes. Not wanting to settle down, unfaithful, etc but they will become the best version of themselves for a woman they want. And that woman is usually sweet and nurturing and bring out the soft side of them because of their perseverance with their commitment issues and raking. So the fact that he breadcrumbs her and makes an effort to be charming to her, pursuing her when she’s unavailable gives her hope. Many of us young girls would have fallen into this trap for years before moving on and sadly, it would be because he left first.

@@aspyn.j_i believe that the right partner should go at the right pace for the other one. I think it’s important to recognise your own issues (i have the same) but also regular comms and not moving too fast helps with this. Not blaming aidan at all but perhaps slower progression of the relationship would have given carrie more space to accept and feel safe to let her feelings evolve in it. I think when you are anxious avoidant (i am too) it’s important to take things nice and slowly and let things build gradually. The anxious avoidant thing is a protection mechanism we have to avoid getting hurt and is also an instinct that we should in balance respect. They made out on this series that Aidan seemed to be in a rush for commitment babies compared to Carrie. I wonder if he had maybe slowed it down and tuned in more with carrie’s deep needs and given her more space if that would have changed things? maybe not but i would have thought that’s the way to heal someone like carrie

My fiancé did all this so effortlessly. Even with us being long distance and having different work schedules. I also found how easy it was to do all those things for him as well. Intermittent reinforcement is often a tactic used in abusive relationships.Big gives Carrie just enough attention to keep her stringing along. He knows she loves him desperately, He treats her like shit cause he knows she is so hoooked on him that she will take it. And as soon as she starts to pull away, he does the absolute minimum he needs to, to pull her back in. For years and years and years,..

Not to mention Samantha besides Charlotte had one of the most emotionally fulfilling and safe relationships out of the four. Smith was a legitimately nice guy who really cared and took care of her when she got cancer. Just because the relationship ended doesn’t mean it was a failure. It means they grew to have different needs and they were there for one another in a way that was special and few people would experience.

I was a very young teen, when this was on TV in Germany and Big always gave me the ick, even when I was nearly still a child (although, tbf part of it was that I didn't understand why my other female friends found him so hot. To me, he was an old man who always smirked like a slime ball 😂) The thing is, neither one of them loved the other, it was a parasitic relationship. Carrie loved what Big symbolised, how having a "rich, distinguished (lol) man" choose her over EVERYONE else. He always gave her the feeling of not really being in her grasp and that's why she fought for him night and day. I found it insane how she not just cheated on Aiden, but even told Miranda that she's Big in this relationship, so she KNEW how badly she'd hurt Aiden (not the biggest fan of Aiden, but he's simply not my cup of tea, character wise he's leagues ahead of these baffoons) I still find it fascinating how shows like these make such a huge impact on a whole generation of women. I think the same kinda applies to How I Met Your Mother and how so many guys wanted to be Barney, while not seeing his hurt and loneliness. Or how the other guys said they are a Ted, to show how romantic they were, although Ted also is a very gray'ish character. I think in times of streaming it's hard to have series with such an impact - for better or worse

I'm an anxious-avoidant who went no-contact in September with my dismissive-avoidant after too many years. He's now trying to make a comeback again. The temptation is real but I remembered this video and watched it for the 300th time for all 3 hours to remind myself of how not-worth-it the pattern is. This is still the best SATC Big-Carrie breakdown of all time and the value it has brought me is unspeakable. Carrie was clearly a traumatized little girl and Big really brought all her stuff up. I also believe the powers that be use these kinds of shows to program women into worshipping both men and martyrdom. There's so much more out there, ladies, and though I honestly struggle to see it for myself because of all the trauma I've survived, I'd rather be happily single at this point. I'm in therapy working through all my stuff and really hoping we all experience freedom from our pasts. Let's do our work and LIVE! Aspyn you a real one, girl, THANK YOU for your content ❤‍🔥 Love from Johannesburg, South Africa

Carrie has always been a low key gold digger. Carrie was the first woman that didn't bore the f outta Big, and he was addicted to her sexually, but she didn't fit the mold of upper east side pedigree, so he kept her strung along as long as he could without having to commit.

Carrie getting mad at Miranda for her emotionally unavailable man being once again unreliable af was SO ridiculous! She is seriously the worst friend on the series. Reminds me of my mom’s former bestie. My mom caught her man cheating with some lady in a parking lot.. tells her friend.. friend somehow thinks mom is lying and literally never talked to her again. Not even when she knew my mom was dying (her twin sister remained one my mom’s besties for the rest of her life, so she knew).

I’m sorry to hear that. It really is far too common. I’ve been ditched for awful men so many times. Hell, my mom chose her cheating, abusive husband over me, her evil son over me and would probably have done it again and again if we were still on speaking terms. It’s infuriating. But now she’s all alone and has no female presence to vouch for her which is what she wanted all along so 🤷🏾‍♀️

It’s always about the guy, with Carrie. She ditches her dinner plans with Miranda, because Big “ got this veal”. I had a friend once who had two steady boyfriends. The guys knew about each other and they were exclusive with her but she cheated on both of them. She would stay with one for a couple of days and while she was out with her girls she would have the other one pick up her clothes and makeup from him so she could stay with number two for a few days. Both of the guys tolerated it for years until she met someone else and dumped them both. Some guys will do anything for a woman, I’ve seen it many, many times. It’s all in how you play the game (and yes, it is a game).

I had an epiphany yesterday that Miranda and Aiden should have gotten together. Screw Carrie. It could have been a legitimate conflict in the series. They’re both honest and were looking for stability and both are practical. None of this weird emotional rollercoaster ride from their loser exes although I do agree with others that Carrie was Aiden’s “Big”.
