This is how I feel about the love of my life. I met him 2 years ago. He's 63 and I'll soon be 67 years old...and I have to tell you folks that you can find your first -- and last -- real love, no matter what age you are.

@@voyeurette1, Sorry to hear you stayed so long :( I gave up abuse & feared my ex would murder me for years ! I know the fear... I have been with my guy since I was 36 & he was 49 ! We are still together & I decided to marry him after 7 years together, refused before.... didn't want a man to think he owned me ! I refused to change my name & wanted to be thought of as an individual person, instead of a piece of property without feelings of my own, only an extension of him ! My husband did not deserve those fears... but they were there & he was understanding, caring, loving :) It can happen to you, but put down your foot if ANY abuse starts, don't allow it !!! In beginning my guy was very jealous.... I informed him that if he continued on this track that he would destroy our relationship & that he should choose to trust me & wait and see !!! He got the message & realized that he could trust me !!!

This was my best friend's favorite song. We were so close in high school. She got me into Etta James. She would play this song and twirl in her front yard with a magnolia in her hair. I was a young boy when this song was released. Anytime I hear this or some of the other classic love ballads of that time, I vividly remember listening to it in the dark on the radio. The local station had a show that started at 10pm, called "Starlight Serenade". What music! I had forgotten all about this song until I heard it played behind a tv commercial and it all came back. Holy crap is that a haunting song. I am a 60+++ year old guy and remember my dad playing that music when I was a kid. I didn’t appreciate it then, but somehow I found my way back to those classics. Thanks Dad. I am glad that you liked those songs.

The Kentucky Gent I’m only 17!!!! This has always been my favorite song since I was 1!! My great grandfather promised me since I was little that he was gonna dance with me on my wedding day. Sadly he passed away 2 years ago. Since I was a little girl and when i would visit him he would have songs like theE and just dance with me while he was covered in sweat and grease after a long day of being a mechanic!!

My nana passed away just before my 14th birthday and I was on the road with my dad late at night the other night and we both couldn't see because of other headlights and this song started to play. This was her favorite song and I took that as a sign she was watching over us. Also I just recently had my wisdom teeth taken out and have been in a lot of pain because of it and just had the urge to listen to her favorite song. Born in 1963 I was a big fan of The Doors, then switched to Rachmaninow and old tunes of Lena Horne and Screamin' Jay ... but the last ten years I was searchin' in vain ... until Grace won AGT ... just listen to her Adele version "One and only" and her original "Lungs".

RAMONA HAYGOOD. 1961 at fort Sam Houston. An 18 year old white boy from Chicago. I would go to an outdoor snack bar and get a chili dog and there was an outdoor jukebox as well. While I ate my chili dog, I listened to etta James , had a second chili dog and listened to her again. When I would go, most of the time nobody was around. It was just me, etta and the young black girl taking care of the place. I am sure she wondered what it all about!
