Your videos are so helpful! I am an over-thinker and easily overwhelmed by too many resources and too much to do! My head spins and then I accomplish nothing because I get stressed! I need minimalism and simplicity! Thanks for teaching me and many others how to homeschool for cheap or free using the best resources! We had a set of Childcraft when we were kids and I loved them, but unfortunately my mom sold them before her grandkids came along. Oops! It's great to be a minimalist, but not when you sell your Childcraft set. I don't blame her though. She was stressed with having to move and had too much stuff. I have gotten rid of things I regret too when I got overwhelmed and stressed and HAD to move and didn't have room to pack or store things.

I adore that you show your own heavily used and loved books! I received a load of books from my mother from when she homeschooled my sister's and me. My kids love them! Tears, smears and all. 💓 Also; my Dad was raised with Childcraft and highly encouraged me to get that and the other two sets you mentioned. My kids (6,5,3 years old) all love them!

This is great. I set up a little book bin for my 2 year old like her sisters. We do flash cards with lowercase letters for sounds and upper case for the letter name. She loves her letters and its neat to see her recognize them everywhere we go. I have a thick Mother Goose book that she won't let me hold. "My Dumpty!" she says as she pulls it away. Humpty Dumpty is her favorite. We rotate through other books like Goodnight Moon, Brown Bear Brown Bear and animal magazines. I do find she loves to point and name things. Its good for bonding, vocabulary and general knowledge. 🙂

Oh how I love that Bible! I had one as a child that came with cassette tapes to listen to. I still have mine and now have used it with my oldest two children and will go through it with my younger two children as they reach preschool age. ❤️

We have Richard scary books too and we love them. Would like to know what year or publisher or isbn that handcraft books when they were made I been looking for them but they seem different from what you have.

I think both of our sets were from the 1950's, but there are revised versions, I'm sure.

Love both of your choices! We have done a nursery hour with the Family-Time Bible by the same author, and our choice for adding to our family library for littles this past fall was that exact Richard Scarry book! The 20th Century Treasury is also excellent for many stories in one book. We do a Bible story, a song based book...like old mcDonald or similar, and work in a story treasury book each evening. A memory verse, character quality a week ABC book by Taylor as well, and we finish by singing a Bible song. It is so much fun for them...a great way to end the day with young ones. Peaceful evenings before sleep. Fables Picture books Nursery Rhymes All of these can be found so simply at Goodwills and resale shops. We just went through our Bible for the 2nd or 3rd time this year so I just switched it with a devotions book that my aunt surprised us with. It is a science and the Bible devotional called indescribable and they have loved it. It has 100 devotions with interesting facts about nature. I plan to rotate to a new Bible after these this winter and thi k your choice would be perfect, Taylor has done many amazing works for children. In the morning we do an activity after I do morning work...they can help with that and love to! Having them join you is so fun and important for bonding and learning. Outside time is also important. My Fatjers World has their program set up into blocks, and blocks works great for rhythm for little ones routines. For tutoring time...preschoolers in our home do Rod and Staff little workbooks for fun. CLE K2 is amazingly simple and focused on basics for kindergarten.

I'm not sure exactly what you are needing. Could you elaborate?

@@MomDelights I would like to teach them all the sounds not just the abc sounds. Especially index card style flash cards because they learn well that way. But I’m having a hard time finding and understanding how to pronounce those sounds and understanding the symbols. And I am also struggling to find a trustable printable to use to create said flash cards.. I do have access too 100easy lessons and alphaphonics but beyond the lessons I would like to daily practice letter sounds to eventually include all 44 and the Dipthongs, Digraphs, & Blends. I hope I explained that clearly. Thank you for your time💜

Read the real Bible to your children! They don`t need the worlds version of a "bible"...They will slowly understand and beginning asking questions!
