Difficult to say because some standard production cigars are tasting incredible even with a recent box date but some expensive cigars aren’t. It’s been similar performance as always soo far in my experience

It is visually awful, ring gauge is awful - instead of doing those infinite bands shite - would be better to give us back the Lonsdale, produce more 898 etc.. Habanos want to be perceived as luxury but act like quick fashion cheap shops. Give me one luxury brand (wine, whisky, cars etc…) that deny itself, by changing its branding, its personality without respecting its history. A beautiful naked 50 cab of lower than 50 ring gauge is more beautiful, minimalist, pure and attractive. Let’s be honest - the linea de oro was shite, the linea 1935 was shite only the leyenda after few year is okish and only half the stick - this one is heading in the same direction. It is a pity that habanos is clearly confounding luxury and flashy bling-bling! Luxurious brands don’t do this! Petrus never change their bottle sticker by this much, Ferrari is not changing is red etc… they need to understand that luxury is linked to history, craftsmanship and the culture of excellence - not adding bling-bling bands, doing chubby sticks and changing the general flavour profil and liga of the brand.

So another underwhelming release from Habanos, honestly Cubans have lost their appeal for me, the price to quality ratio is not worth it, I’m sure they have figured out that whatever they put out, especially on the higher end of the market will be bought by people in the “flex culture” of cigars and that’s why their normal productions and lower end of their market has still somewhat consistent quality because the lower end portfolio customers would jump ship to new world if the quality gets worse.
