Hi, I am a big fan of yours and highly respect your work. However, I could not draw my lines straight when selecting the freeform shape (see your pyramid tut). How can I change my point draw tool in PPT 2013 to the finger like you have. Appreciately yours. I am in a high stress job and everyday I am in the line of fire. You have saved me many times. My children and I thank you so much !!!

If I understand your first question correctly, you simply hold down the 'shift' key as you draw a line. This will keep the line straight in the horizontal, vertical, or diagonal - whichever direction you move your mouse. The finger you see is not a Powerpoint tool, I think it is a part of the tutorial software he is using to record the presentation.

johnatowers Thank you for the response! MsBluSpot The finger and yellow circle in place of mouse point is generated by the software by which we record video. A straight line can be drawn as mentioned by holding down the SHIFT key.

These shapes in PowerPoint have standard resolution. Not sure how you are getting a different res? Did you save them as picture?
