Methinks Mark could hand off a few of the dozen or so espressos he downed before filming this to Floppy, who looks like he could use them..... WAKE UP FLOPPY, THIS IS EXCITING!!!

There has been a lot of VR cameras already but this will be of the top tier quality... I have been thinking how good these will be for travel channels... people being able to feel like they are actually at the place the channel is showing

I really like the voice on the top on the song Easy from Emilie Nicolas. Very interesting atmos mix.

I am with you mark Dolby Atmos is here to stay :) I love Black magic i have two and look forward to what ever they bring out :) Great Recommendation Emilie Nicolas Easy sounds amazing and having the vocal above and rear rather than in the front speakers is amazing.

Love the video! I want to say thanks for another great video. But, I also want to say, I agree that atmos mixes are the future of music and music production because of the amount of consumer available platforms that support it. Although, I would love to start mixing in atmos, but as far as getting started with it on the side of the DAW and plugins, I feel that is quite easy with so many free options from many companies. But it is hard for me personally to get a good speaker set up for the atmos mixing. As I just recently in the last year got a decent pair of studio monitors for stereo mixing. I feel myself and others in my same boat will have to wait for more affordable options for atmos speaker setups. I am aware that they are out there. With products like the Audient Oria, and speakers from companies like Mackie and Kali Audio, but to me it is still a large investment that I am just unfortunately not able to do. I would love to start it as soon as I can, but I will just have to wait for more affordable options. It is not just the speakers, it is the fact I would need a way to mount them and a new audio interface to control the multi-channel mixing, and then need to calibrate my room again for the more speakers that I have invested in. Again great video and thank you! But some of us on the lower production end will just need to wait to be able to get started in it.

The only real problem I see is compatibility between brands, I do have a apple music subscription, but use an Android phone and an Sony headset, all support a form of spatial audio. But Sony's implementation is only compatible with Tidal and Amazon music.

Very out-of-the-box looks... in that it reminds me of The Mole from Thunderbirds

Can't wait for Atmos to take off simply so I can listen to flop cat snore on a crisp 360° sound stage! 💪🙌

I have been using a custom Kodak based 3dvr rig since 2017 and using the insta360evo since 2020. Canon has also had twin VRlens available since last year. It's a lot cheaper than the BM solution.

I have a stupid question: Do all Atmos renderers render in the exact same way? Or are some better than others? This could the reason I really dislike Atmos (specifically BINAURAL mode). I've tried the Cubase built-in renderer and I absolutely hate the sound of Binaural downmixes. There's insane amounts of comb filtering on the resulting output that sucks the life out of music.

Real atoms will be fab. I just can’t hear atoms on my phones tho. By that I mean… I can tell it’s atmos as it’s strange, but it isn’t immersive at all for me.

Oh yeah, let's make music that will be heard on a device that will maybe gain popular traction in 10 years or so when older models become affordable to SOME people. What will third world consumers do who are pissed at the fact that headphone jacks of smartphones get removed because all they can afford are cheap earbuds and the cheap Bluetooth ones suck ass?
