Wow, I love the detail you give on the construction of the horse bow and the affect on the draw/action. I arrived at your youtube videos because I'm interested in Assyrian bow from AF. I already have an Assyrian bow from Bogar Archery and I believe it's a more beautiful bow than the AF one, especially having seen more videos on the AF version. The siyahs are also very slim and it avoids the straight limb on the AF one so is not so "triangular" and the whole bow only weighs

I have 2-3 videos related to fixing bow twist. Try it and you'll never be afraid of bow twist ever again.

The AF Tarta has had some excellent reviews from not only owners, but many testers too.

@@richardbarrett4104 as this video was made long ago, nowadays the Jotoman is a much superior alternative to both the Turkish and Tatar. In fact the tiny Jotoman is closer to the Sicai in every way, except physical dimensions.

Very interesting bow reviews! I have learned a lot about shape and materials watching this.

The crab bow loves heavy arrows! The giant ears gives an extra kick at the end to heavy arrows that accelerate slower just like the massive ears... I love the feeling of the draw actually and the curve in the ears makes the shortening of the string smooth and you get less hand shock and less slapping noise. Heavy arrows fly faster than with other designs and 10gpp arrows fly almost as fast as if flung from supposedly more efficient designs... I would say you get tension right away but the last inch to the max of 30 inches feels relatively easier to pull or hold... I know at least some of the time, the specific shapes are due to the shape of the horns they used in their horn and sinew bows... This bow is otherwise a light and fairly small way to fling heavy arrows with great speed...

Ive got the AF Sultan @50LB but in the yellow and black and love shooting it! Its very snappy with light arrows like 600 spine 100g tips and sometimes I use 500 to.

The deflex in the Sultan also makes the unstrung shape less deeply curved forwards which helps when stringing and un-stringing.

Which yuwen model are you showing around 28 minuten? What is the drawlength / weight of this bow? It is beautifull!
@bambooarchery Жыл бұрын
Bamboo Archery Exclusive Yuwen Turkish. 48.5" strung length. 31" max drawlength. Preorder poundages 25-55# 28". It is not the standard model. Everything from grip, arrow pass, riser, lamination material, layer orientation, layer thickness, siyah, nock, bowstring, serving, and steel core has been modified.

@@bambooarchery Thx. Aah, unfortunately I am looking for a drawlength of 33 inch and a poundage of 45 lbs at that drawlength.
@bambooarchery Жыл бұрын
@@egbertypma1122 then pick the Yuwen Ming instead, 53" length, 33" max draw. No Turkish could draw 33".

Ah this is interesting to learn about carbon and fiberglass! Why does mariner have the modified carbon core inverted compared to this design then? Mariner seems to have the back as bamboo and the belly as carbon which seems like the opposite of what you suggest here. I'm just intrested in the design decision made there !
@bambooarchery Жыл бұрын
For Mariner Modified Carbon to work, the carbon belly is much thicker than normal. This prevents the belly from being compressed at all, which otherwise would be crushed. This specific arrangement forces the back Bearpaw glass to experience extreme tensile elongation instead. High quality fiberglass can stretch almost 3× that of carbon. So this arrangement will work but requires more use of higher quality material, hence the higher cost and selling price. It won't work with lower quality China fiberglass, we had tried it and they just keep failing.

@bambooarchery5889 oh that is very interesting!! Thankyou for sharing ^^ there's so much going on with bows @>@ the more I feel like I understand the science the more there is to learn
