Idk how I forgot to sub last time I came. For some reason your videos tend to get the featured class's playstyle hammered into my head better than others. Most likely how you have the skills and their showcase in the same point. I can rewind 10-20s and I get what I need. I boosted a preservation evoker with the 70/424ilvl boost and jumped straight into M+. We timed a 17 BRH and went over about 1m on an 18 TotT. It was the most fun healer I've played. Figuring out how to set up big heals and piecing other combos together like a puzzle was a blast. This video will take me to another level though. Evoker is such a fun class with amazing flavor. I’ve been having a lot of success running Nozdormu’s teachings and then lots of talents centered around empowered spell casting. Seems to work well with the tier set and I’m getting some pretty crazy numbers consistently

Love this! Thank you so much! I've been worried about getting rusty testing out aug recently and this was a great refresher. Hahaha the wing buffet thing got me! Not sure if you were doing it to make a joke (if so sorry!) but the word you're looking for is pronounced Buh-fet (e as in ent or entomology) not Buh-fay (which is referring to a way to serve food). Personally though I kind of like the idea that it's serving food on wings though hahaha Edit: saw your answer on a different comment and hard agree on serving hands hahaha

I am honestly very grateful for the effort you put in this video. Coming back to wow after a few months break, I really needed a deep dive video instead of those zoomer-type, fast-paced guides that are trying to cramp everything in 10-15 minutes. I really enjoy both augmentation and devastation, but with a lot of friends coming back to wow - we could use a healer instead of a dps. With shaman being quite weak this season as of now, and with your guide, I am willing to give preservation a try. You deserve way more subs and recognition. Keep it up!

point at 22:17: You can cast (or used to be able to, anyway. I took off half way through s1 and am just coming back.) Communion while you're stunned. Taking the talent to be able to move while using Communion made it so you could walk out of alot of CC in s1!

What a great and informative video! Had to rewatch few parts several times to really understand and learn the principles involved. One thing that puzzled me for a while is at @44:10 , where you say "I double dream breath most of us and single dream breath" the tank. As I am brand new to the spec, only few days in, I don't understand where the double dream breath comes from - is it from the Echo? Would the target that you use the Reversion on also get the double effect of DB? Also, would you say that dream breath should be used as a rolling HoT, and thus maximizing the number of casts - especially if you don't expect urgent situation in next 30 sec or so? Appreciate this and all the other videos you are providing, really helping me out!

The normal build I recommend does a ton of bronze! It’s hard to build even more around it because you end up losing a lot of huge abilities. Green build was to try to run less bronze because we are normally so bronze heavy. But I miss flow state every day of my life

Sorry for the late reply, but the one that doesn't run Call of Ysera. Its a great build, but it forces you to use verdant embrace on basically every dream breath. When sometimes you want to use verdant embrace for other heals and not just to set up a heal. But once you're comfortable try both out! But to start, the not CoY one!

I had a question for you and wasnt sure where to ask. During the last fight of galakrons fall on mythic, are there better/easier ways to keep chromie alive besides spamming living flame. Just came back to wow after a hiatus of over a year and decided to try healing.

Many! But she does get bonus healing. Use an echo and something fat like spirit bloom. Reversion and making sure she gets hit with breath (echo her again, breath teammates). Its tough but I just toss my extra healing, but echo's make a huge difference!

Does Golden Hour also apply to targets with Echo or is it just for the target you cast it on?

Everyone! You can like crazy heal two tanks soaking something with an echo and reversion. Or giga heal a single tank with echo reversion!

Great video! I was wondering if you have a solution to following problem: If I cast an Emerald Blossom, then charge up a Spiritbloom and the Emerald Blossom goes off, it stops my Spiritbloom charging up and just casts it at the level it is when the Emerald Blossom goes off. This only happens when using Mouseover macros but I would rather not get rid of those.

Would you still recommend this build if I have a lot of trouble focusing on both healing & dps? Like I'll throw out Fire Breath on CD & usually Disintegrate when I get spare procs. But I tend to be just healing most of the time. (Pres is my offspec, so I don't quite heal as much)

I would because even if you can’t do a ton of damage right now you’re still hitting all the points of the build! You’re getting value! And also because as you get more gear and your teams know the dungeons better you will likely transition into more damage. A more healing focused build would potentially go with over healing and less damage and you lose a lot of value. In a super challenging run there is always the potential we run more healing but I have not run into this problem, usually we just talent for ysera’s because we need a little more!

How do you get party nameplates to show in dungeons pls? Seems kinda important with this spec and mine always seem to turn off in dungeons!

So Nameplates are disabled, default frames only said Blizzard. But party frames and addons are fine! I use default, but thats the best way to track as enemy nameplate stacks get a bit crazy and trying to find a homie during that is tough. it takes getting used to but party frames are you friend! Also, ally nameplates looking different than enemy makes them significantly easier to find in a giant pull I find! And thats good for positioning!

Their 2 tier set was op and the 4 tier set was nonexistent. My living flame echoes kept hitting the mage in the back who didn't need it. I wish that they didn't nerf it

For stasis combo (when situation allows) I like to cast TA+SB+DB and when Stasis pops i cast tip the scales then i have SB and DB ready for an instant heal of course once SB and DB are off Cool down. you'll be able to use either SB or EB for a quick instant burst.

So in my UI - I use Grid2 + Clique. with Clique you assign a keybind and for this example we'll use Spiritbloom. Once SB is assigned you then mouse over the target on Gird and activate the charge of SB.

Great guide, well explained and covers everything you need to know as a pres evoker. Unfortunately, compared to other healers, they are a near total waste of time right now in M+ unless you are stacking melee or your group competely outgears / Outcomps the key. Disc, MW, Hpal, Rsham, RDruid are all much better choices. Pres is solid in raids and PVP. Pick any healer short of a Holy priest and you will have a much easier time of things.

I think you need to watch what you type. People who want to play pres want a guide, and here it is! But to come in and say there are better healers and a waste of time is telling someone to not like their favorite flavor of ice cream. Because outside of world record pushing keys, its insanely viable. Oh and has gotten a couple of world records too (EyelashTV I think!). This dialogue you provided, while thank you for the kind words, provides a problematic view WoW players have. You must be optimal or you can't do anything. If I can heal 20's and much further beyond, and mythic raid on Preservation, its good. Is it easy? no, but I don't want easy I wanna play something that is satisfying and pushes me. AND JUST SO WE ARE CLEAR HOLY PRIEST IS FINE TOO STOP BY STREAM SOMETIME (but no seriously, it is fine! You should check out the good Holy players or myself positively blast on it)

@@Bowserthehealer Normally I wouldn't respond as I'm entitled to my opinion, but since you've taken umbrage at my reply, I will give you one last response. I'd rather call a spade a spade and be honest about it with people up front. Pres in keys is all about the composition and it works best and most effectively with a very small range of class compositions when compared to other healers. I like to look at it like this, you could dig a fence hole with a front end loader, or you could choose to use an Icecream stick. Both will dig the hole, ergo both are viable and do it just fine if we go by your metric. But not everybody has all day to spend on this game either. Some of us have limitied playtime. Some are new to the game and wondering what healer we should play in order to clear content with our friends? If you aren't honest about the very real shortcomings of a spec you are doing a guide on, I'd argue that's doing people a disservice in itself. In your reply you suggest that it's quite fine for a heal spec to be that much more difficult than nearly every other healing spec out there doing the exact same role; so that it pushes the player and provides them with a higher degree of challenge? I'm sorry but that is beyond absurd. I mean seriously? That right there is everything that is wrong with the current class balance in Dragonflight. If you want additional challenge, take your trinkets off or break your set bonus and go run your key. If the content wasn't mandatory in order to progress your character I'd have maybe agreed, albeit to a very small degree with your assessment. Challenging yourself in the game should never be about the choice you made at the Character Screen. Good Day Sir.

Or they like time magic. Or they enjoy the style of healing. And for that, this is a guide to help them do that. Go enjoy the game you want, but telling people what to play in a tutorial is in fact a strange choice.
