Watch how I preserve real butterfly rings in resin so I can use them for other crafts such as jewellery or polymer clay creations! For these wings I’m thinking of making a gorgeous fairy hanging 😍

Thank you for your video. I found wings that had come off a Lunar moth after it died. They were on my deck after a rain and at first I thought they were strange looking leafs. But upon inspection I saw they were from one of the Luna lr moths that had been hanging around. I am going to use your technique and make them into earnings. Cheers.

Thanks so much for watching! I’m going to do dragonfly wings tonight for a polymer clay fairy I’d like to make 🥰. I’ll post a video of that too!

Thanks for the message at 7:39! Insects are declining so we should use what we found dead!

Do you think this would last long term in sunlight? Thinking about using these for a craft I’m doing. Sun catcher style craft where it would be in sunlight indoors.

Hi thanks for watching! My guess it that it would last very well however depending on the colour of the wings and the type of resin you use they might tend to go yellow with the uv. I’ve got a bee I set in this resin years ago. I can still see it but it has turned yellow. Feel free to message me on I Instagram if you’d like a photo of it - @off_grid_artist. Because my wings are black I’m not too worried that they’ll change colour 😁
