Preserved: WJC Buses: B10 (VMP10G) AEC Reliance 6U3ZR/ Alexander Y

The next vehicle from the Kirkby Stephen event is quite an unusual one, let's take a pause from the Leylands and now let's enjoy a nice smooth AEC.
VMP10G was new in 1969 as a unique AEC Reliance with Alexander Y 12 metre long body, and the only one fitted with bus seats. VMP10G was new to the Road Transport Industry Training Board in order to train bus driving examiners so spent all of its operational life not in public service, it was then bought in the early 90s by Peace Coaches of Echt and purchased for preservation in 1996.
B10 is powered by an underfloor AEC AH590 engine coupled to a AEC 6-speed Syncomesh manual gearbox. It certainly shifts. Enjoy!
