Who can remember these on the Exe Valley line? 1466 was definitely there. I'm told they ran at 60mph plus on occasions ! Bampton station was a gem to behold.

Oliver 11 was my favorite character in thomas and friends growing up, so seeing his real life basis alive and well is pretty great. It's also surprisingly quiet for a steam engine

What is an auto coach and why put an engine in the middle of 2 coaches. I grew up near the Paddington line, so never saw any branch line engines at work. 61xx series were the local work horse, with Castles etc pulling the Bristolian and Cornish Riviera and the like.

Basically an autocoach is where you can drive from the coach itself instead of going around, for your other question 2 autocoaches is called a sandwich. I also guess its for extra capasity*(probably spelt it wrong)

1450 is seen at Severn Valley Railway (which has been its normal home for the past few years), Didcot Railway Centre, Llangollen Railway, Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway and Great Central Railway. 1420 is seen being shunted at the South Devon Railway. 1466 is seen at Didcot Railway Centre.
