Wait. Don’t corals have an endoskeleton not an exoskeleton? Being that the skeleton is under the corals tissue.

Now i know the name of our dry coral at home: acropora spicifera. I'd like to preserve it because the root starts to rot and we don't have an aquarium so, i spray water on it sometimes, but i doubt that actually helps. So, what to do?

How do you make the corals so white? I have a dead coral given to me but when i tried bleaching it , it just turned white with a yellow tinge
