"The Happy Ho" HAHA!!!! This is HILARIOUS! I had to stop the video to tell my husband in the other room, I couldn't stop laughing. I'd get a kick out of that. And you're right... life is short, you need a sense of humor. Random: Where did you get that fresh strawberries sign? I love it so much.

Glad you enjoyed it! :) I bought the sign from The Tobacco Barn antique store in Asheville, NC, this past spring. I love it!! Thank you!

I had to chuckle Amanda, I think the receipt thing is hilarious. I'd get a good laugh out of it like you did, but also maybe just in case it could lead to "issues/confusion" consider dropping the "The" and it would then say "Happy Home" or "Happy Homes" ? That would be a cool reminder on the receipt haha. Loved the recipes and process you shared, garlic is so yummy! 💚

Honey garlic tastes amazing - even the kids love it. BUT of course it needs to sit for 6 months to a year to reach that candy like flavor. I agree completely with you. My best friend has bees and gifts me a couple quarts every year and I make this honey candy potion. YUM. Thanks for this reminder to go look at my garlic - been waiting for July 4 to pull one to see how it has grown and my honey is waiting for it. I also use it for my salad dressing, over fried chicken, and any other way that feels good at the time. Great video, thanks.

Great video. I cheated and bought a bag of peeled garlic at Costco. I know it won't be anywhere as good as yours, but it's a start. I am going to process it today. One batch for the freezer ( pucks) and one in olive oil for the refrigerator. Thank you so much for helping me get motivated for this project. Have a good week.

I bought a bag of peeled garlic cloves from Sam’s Club. Processed them with a small bit of oil. Used a small cookie scoop. Mashed the scoop of garlic into a flat puck, and froze them 🎉 Each puck is about 2-3 cloves. Works perfectly ❤

I was thinking of doing ginger in oil too, but the combo of garlic and ginger is a better idea!!! Thank you!!

Real Olive Oil should solidify. I put my garlic in food processor with a lil Olive Oil and in eggs trays or ice cube trays and make garlic pucks and freeze. I love it. When a cooking recipe says garlic, I always have a puck ready and no need to defrost. Another tip for you, use wood spoon for honey, regular spoons contaminate the honey- reason for those wooden honey utensils. TY

This video is perfect timing. I’m about to harvest my first bed of garlic. I would need to let it dry out/ cure for a week or so, Before trying to braid it, correct?? I’m so excited…I did freeze dry my garlic & onion scapes… so pretty proud of that.

You will most likely need to let it cure for longer than a week. Expect to cure it for 3-4 weeks to be totally dry. Once dry - then braid. Have fun!

Are you saving any bulbs for next year, to plant? If so how are you storing them. We tried the "elephant garlic" this year. So I have saved back right many to plant this fall. I chopped, scooped them with my cookie scooper, froze, once frozen put into zip lock bags. I need to invest in smaller tray toppers for my dehydrator so I can make garlic powder! GOALS!!! lol

I still have PLENTY left to plant. I haven't had luck in the past with it lasting long enough to plant....because of our humid/warm region. But I think this year, I'm going to try. Thanks!

LOL 😆 😂 Life is stressful enough. Let’s laugh 😂 a bit!!! I wouldn’t make any changes to your receipt. Let people laugh for goodness sake 😂. I have a sign in my garden that says “Hoeing is hard” With a lot of hoes on the sign 😂 Let’s all learn to laugh a bit more ❤ I also have another sign in my garden that says “Gardening, because Murder is Wrong” 😆😆😆😆😆😆 Love your videos Amanda ❤

Do you not keep some for planting? They are landrace and are the best to keep planting in the same land.

Is it OK to breed the garlic when the stalks are not that dried out? So it wouldn’t be so messy? Just asking. I’ve never done any of it before😂😂😂

You should really wait until all moisture is gone and they are dry. That is what helps them last longer. If there is moisture trapped, then they will rot faster.

Would that garlic honey help to heal wounds? If so, that would be really good for a prepper pantry since it doesn't expire.

@@TheHappyHomestead I just thought that since they say to use Manuka honey for wounds that maybe this would work and people could afford this more.
