Turned my ps3 on for the first time in like 7 years. First game I played again was max Payne 3. Crazy that was considered a flop cause i thought it was so awesome that there was no way it didn’t make a bunch of money.

What I love about the PS3 is it's huge library of single player games. I have so much fun playing games such as InFamous, Ratchet & Clank, God of War, Uncharted, etc. Also, since my laptop can't run every single game from Steam, I'm glad to buy and play the console versions of these games, even though some people prefer the PC versions. Also, some of the older games cannot be played on Windows 10, so I had to buy games like Batman Arkham Asylum & Spec Ops The Line for the PS3.

I had to learn about some games being incompatible with Windows 10 the hard way. I have games like Fallout 3 and the Prototype games just rotting in my Steam library

Great video man, keep it up :) There just is one minor mistake in ur video. The CECH-BXX model is actually fully hardware based backwards compatible just like the CECH-AXX model. It's the C and E models that use partial emulation.

Bought my 20GB Phat PS3 on launch in 2006, it finally gave up in 2015, I immediately went out and bought a new 500GB Superslim model, it still ticks like a Rolex watch, I still use it daily playing all my favourite single player games, one-day went it will stop working ill get a PS4 😁👌

PSA: There's no need to put an SSD in this device unless you have one lying around. The SATA2 interface in the PS3 operates at SATA1 speeds - so max throughput for a drive is maxed at 150Mb/s no matter what you put in it ... which is the spec of the mechanical drives that came with the systems.

I just bought a ps3 slim should arive Monday. I paid 70 aud for it in 4 star condition. Im going to mod it which will allow me to play ps2 games as well at the fraction of the cost for a native backwards compatibile one.

Actually the 20GB is same as the 60Gb in that it has the Emotion Engine in it.

I’ve been buying PS3 games old ones I sold and new ones. I just wish I had more time on 007 games but at least Socom and Ratchet and Clank have legacy servers

That's probably the most disappointing thing about collecting for the 7th generation, online games entered a new era and we can't really experience that anymore. I'm happy to hear you're getting back into collecting for the system though :)

@@thevulture3776 I mean there’s a whole community dedicated to making servers work again. SOCOM, Killzone, Hawx, and there’s a few others. Some I’ve never experienced while others I grinded for the platinum

I love it when a community comes together just to keep old servers alive and preserve experiences like that. It reminds me of the people keeping Titanfall 2 multiplayer going and the server that hosts a ton of old Pokemon events

Δεν ξερω αν καταλαβα καλα απο αυτο που είπες, αλλα εχω να σου πω οτι το ps3 υποστηρίζει controller και απο ps4 ακομα και απο ps5 διοτι ειναι Bluetooth controller , Μαλιστα αν πας πανω στα controll settings in ps3 και αναζητησεις Bluetooth συσκευες και ταυτόχρονα πατησεις παρατεταμένα ps+share το ps4 controller θα συνδεθεί αυτοματα σαν Bluetooth controller στο ps3 σου . Το εχω χρησιμοποιείσαι μερικες φορες και λειτουργεί σε πολλα παιχνιδια , οπως πχ Pes12, CoD MW3 αλλα δεν υποστηρίζεται γενικα το controller στο Gran Turismo 5, μαλλον γιατί τα κουκπια του ps3 controller είναι αναλογικά εμω του ps4 οχι, και το Gran Turismo εκμεταλλεύεται αυτη την ιδιότητα...Anyway I said a lot , have a nice day 😅👍

You can technically play all PS3 even after they disappear from the PlayStation store via roms One can also use an external hdd to play games installed on it
