President Bush is very familiar with baseball. He owned the Texas Rangers baseball team before he became President. That was a very nice memory especially looking back at what had happened in New York. Thanks..

Excellent video. Despite the tragic events of 9-11, Americans were largely pulled together in solidarity toward a common cause. This was an open display of the mindset. I remember 9-11 quite well as I was living in NY when it happened. Thanks for a great reaction guys.

Me too. My Dad (RIP) and i took the train from Philly to go to Ground Zero. I just HAD to go. They were still cleaning up at the time. It was intense, like you could still feel the souls. ❤️

Every American was a New Yorker then. I didn’t vote for him but he certainly proved he was up for the job.

Derek Jeter was HUGE. Think of the biggest name in ⚽️ & that was Jeter. He dated like every super model & actress - actually, a lot of players in that Yankees era did. Have a great holiday & New Years!

Wasn’t a big fan of George W. Bush prior to 9/11. But I loved that he loved his country and encouraged patriotism. And, of course, after Donald Trump’s first term and impending second term, I feel that George W. is the gold standard. 👍

You should react to a video where there is a baseball game being played in the U.S. and word gets out in the crowd that Osama Bin -Ladin was found and killed. The video shows how the crowd is reacting in real time to the news and how it spreads throughout the stadium during this baseball game. Suddenly the crowd chants, “ “USA, USA”, and the baseball players have no idea what is going on and are very confused. If you haven’t reacted to it yet, you really should. Just Google, crowd at baseball game reacts to news of Osama - Bin - Ladin’s death, and it should come up. You will really like this video .

And that is why when I hear Miley Cyrus’ song Party in the USA, this metalhead starts tearing up. That crowd of Americans meeting at the White House because they didn’t know what to do singing that song, it changed me permanently. It *was* a party in the USA. I’m serious, this grown man can’t listen to that song without getting emotional. Native NY’ker moved to AZ permanently in 2003 age 26. I hate snow.

The Prez made a pretty fair country pitch. The bases are 90 feet apart & the pitching mound is (I think) 66.6 feet from home plate. Or maybe more like 60 feet. We will go with your info.

I saw in a different video that a pitcher told Former President Bush Jr. to pitch from the mound and not bounce it. Man that video reminded me how amazing it was during the 2002 Winter Olympics. A small tidbit: in order to tell the difference between the two President Bush, they had to use their initials. Hence why President Herbert Walker Bush and President Walker Bush.

Ceremonial first pitches occur at many Major League Baseball games, and most of the “pitchers” can’t really pitch. Sometimes, as in the case of Franklin Roosevelt, they pitch from the stands to the catcher waiting below.

Now, once upon a time Rudy Giuliani was beloved by 70-80% of the city. Higher in the second half of 2001. But the cracks in his political legacy were beginning to unravel with his disastrous run for president. He ignored other states for Florida and pointedly told the press he was doing that. Then, trying to be Trump’s lead gaslighter, he lost all street credit he had with NYC. It got so bad, Rudy got booed at a Yankees game. If it was 2001-2008 he’d gotten a standing ovation. Lesson: if you are already your own man, do not become a blind follower to another who will throw you under the bus.
