I am 37 and I still love Bill's presidency. He was good president for his country. He was a man. Obama was pretty soft but also good. I felt that they tried to make their country better. Yeltsin tried to give russian people democracy but failed, because was poisoned by KGB and last years worked in potato mode, until control delivered to... You know to whom. He still sitting on throne.

Under Yeltsin, shock therapy and privatization began, in Yeltsin’s second term there was a default, Russia was mired in a debt hole, there was huge inflation, there was a lot of crime and lawlessness in the country, should I continue?

I agree. But what would you say, now, if I said that Putin has set Russia back 40 years ? The state of affairs - such as they have existed since Russia invaded Ukraine almost a year ago - is as bleak as any I can remember. It may be that Russia has legitimate concerns as regards the eastward expansion of NATO, but NATO doesn`t invade and co-erse other countries into becoming an integral part of western defence, as Russia seems to be attempting in the invasion of Ukraine. Peace.

The interpreter didn’t get/translate that right. What Yeltsin said was that the meeting was about to fail because of some articles in press (newspapers) before the meeting. But you have failed. (By saying that he means that newspapers and their negative estimates about this meeting were wrong and … failed) since meeting was actually successful despite the opposite estimates

no tbh, in russian social media ( not a public one) they've cut it, so the version sounds like the yeltsin is disastered, not journalists. A lot of people had a lot of anger coming out of them. Me either, until I watched the whole video, not just well-cut video :)
