I was born in 1952 and basically became aware of the fact that we had a “government” when my parents began taking me with them to vote. I believe the first election I remember was when Dwight Eisenhower ran the second time in 1957. My father read the newspaper aloud to us and tried to explain what he was reading about. When JFK ran, my parents were very excited and felt he represented their WW2 generation better than others. I was of course influenced by this and began to read everything I could about him. My family was devastated by his death, not just because of any party considerations but because we felt he was becoming a great leader, and we identified with him. As I listen to this press conference, it is obvious we have arrived at a different place where knowledge and leadership as well as a driving unselfish view of our country does not seem to be the primary motivating factor for our present day political leadership. It is difficult to listen to JFK and see these marked differences.

JFK knew his quest for peace made great anger and hate against him...Old "Bombs Away Lemay" wanted JFK to 1st strike Russia with nuclear and Kennedy got up and walked out of the room, this from a Bobby Kennedy video. If you punch in "Daniel Sheehan" on KZbin you will get a detailed talks on very accurate outline of Kennedy's awful murder, where it began, etc...this man is brilliant and been investigating all his life in D.C. I was 20 when the CIA elements and Corporate U.S. murdered JFK and today, very old, I sometimes weep yet. For 50+ years I read the most or best reliable sources on this great president...and believe it or not but he and Bobby with a nations help I think would have given us a peaceful world. He often talked of dying and I think he knew that day in Dallas...and we got the worst evil scum in U.S. politics with LBJ and then Nixon, who both were in Dallas that day with CIA H W Bush & Nixon, who knew he was being killed...Sheehan gives the facts and corroboration. Sorry this is long. Thanks for your post.

Shame that he could not get his head straight about automation in agriculture and industry, referring to it more than once as a "problem" even while acknowledging the tremendous increase in production. Today, even our socialist president would see it as progress, AND as a juncture of circumstances for even more jobs. Automation shifts workers, and opens up new heretofore unknown fields of occupations. It does not eliminate them.
