There must be a way to cooperate with World-wide partners in the betterment of Africa.❤ Total withdrawal of European partners, does not seem to be the right solution. If Zimbabwe and South Africa are any indication? Russia seems willing to prop up unpleasant dictatorships so, they don't seem to be a feesible solution either. With competition, however, and a strong African leadership, the way forward (hopefully) will be one of partnership and mutual benefit. No more of this colonial/corporate raping of developing land masses (populations). Populations have to find a way to work as one so, that we can squeeze the corporations and governments (when they try and extort from the rest of us). We could eliminate world poverty, for one thing! Let the politicians go out and do the fighting? Then we would see diplomatic solutions popping up for every situation!😂👍

Mr. President, I'm a Nigerian. My question is, what if African leaders invest in education, help Africans to gain knowledge in order to know how to transform their natural resources into wealth themselves??? We are living in a World of competition, the West has been and will keep taking advantage of us because of our acquiescence. They want to grow their economies, so do we. We shouldn't blame them for outsmarting us, our obligation is to stand up for ourselves by INVESTING IN EDUCATION, EDUCATION AND EDUCATION.

@obinnaeleaka944310 ай бұрын
I don't really think at this level that education is the major problem, but the money to build this plants in some cases. For instance, Nigeria have professionals across the globe that can get these things done effectively and efficiently, but the sincerity to investment in this by the governments is the biggest problem. The wickedness and greediness for wealth are our biggest problems in Africa. Like we have now in Nigeria, the government is not sincere enough to give licenses for people to build refinery to refine crude oil we produce but sell abroad for nothing and then import it again. Until Africa, learn to kill any individual found to steal or sabotage the national interest for personal or international business gain, this epidemic will continue for a very long time😢.

@obinnaeleaka944310 ай бұрын
@tayeoyelami until how long ago have they started doing this. Another one to ask is what is again the incentive to encourage local production as against importation. Brother, this is not about ignorance. We were only just told that 7 licences have been granted, but then again, should that have been the case in a large country as Nigeria, and have been producing crude oil for over 50 years now? I say it again until Africa nations and nationals shuns wickedness and greediness of gain at against national interest, then we will keep recycling the current situation of poverty and underdevelopment and will keep going round and round. Peace unto you brother.

My understanding of Nigerians is that many are well educated and industrious which is why Nigerua has the biggest GDP in Africa. @markwtal945310 ай бұрын
That costs a lot of money to do. You need investment for that. Even Russia had western countries help them build and maintain their oil drilling. Besides that, sometimes one refined oil product is needed more on the market, sometimes another and so on. So you would need to build a lot of factorys to change production. Raw oil is always needed. That's very expensive. How much of the money needed will be stolen by the government officials? Another thing is the instability of the region. There where 7 coups in the last 3 years in the region. Boko Haram is also there fighting. Very unstable place to put your money. How do you get investment in such a place?

President Museveni presented very good Facts especially with Kwh, and what real Fair Trade Value means. If any outside countries wants to purchase resources from The African continent, it should receive deliverables that would benefit the countries general population, as well as receiving a good Financial Gain. 👼🏿🗡️🗡️🗡️⚔️

We need more people like him to stand out for their people Africa can’t continue to be suffering in Poor. And we stand and watch our people kill and we do nothing about it.. i will always stand for my people and Africa. Let the young generation wake up and fight the fight our fathers filed to fight and protect us. It’s time now for us to take back all the we have and rebuild our nation again. And I believe we can do it if we truly want to I love where I’m from and I am proud to come from Nigeria 🇳🇬. God please help us and we too have to help ourselves too.. wake up wake up Africa

@hairlessape510710 ай бұрын
The West is sanctioning itself, I do not think that Africa should copy them. Look at what is happening to the European economy since they have cut themselves off from Russian energy... it hurts them more than it hurts Russia. Those who are imposing (illegal per the UN) sanctions are in the minority, eventually if they keep doing this they will be trading only among themselves while the rest of the world trades freely among the majority. Africa should demand fair prices and trade with those who will trade fairly, any nation or group of nations should do this.

I have interacted with Leadership at different levels, here in South Africa. I had never heard President Museveni speak, on issues of strategic importance. What a great level analysis. I wish those around him were of the same strategic capacity. Often, the thinking is that African leaders do not have strategic capacity to take their countries forward. This is not the case I am getting from President Museveni. The challenge could be people around him, but him.
