It is President Nixon who passed the clean Air and water act back in what 1971 72 and Trump was trying to roll it back recently let's hope they rolled it for it again. My father used to tell me that President Nixon was pretty liberal for a Republican president and that if he had tried to run in today's day he'd never make it because of his liberalism.

It's sad to see Nixon together with a daughter that he loved and realizing that he betrayed his intelligence and abilities with his paranoia and lust for power. At any rate, he did father two very good daughters. They have handled the pressure of having a disgraced father with a great deal of personal grace of their own.

@@capoislamort100 He was a highly anxious person who couldn't handle the weight of the office upon his shoulders. This led to incompetence and then onto criminality as he failed to deliver his mandates. It was pitiful and in the end was ultimately damaging to the country as a whole. He systematically destroyed the trust the masses had in their government. The worrying difference between Nixon and Trump? Trump has no self-awaremess and no real mandate. Thus his dealings in criminality are not from some anxious need to correct an error, but in fact calculated and methodical acts to further his own self-interests. Unlike Nixon, he doesnt care about the reputation of his office or country. Unlike Nixon, he will express no remorse.
@jstasiak22624 жыл бұрын
@@BatZie Nixon was, by far, the most competent US president since Eisenhower. None of his successors, not even Reagan, comes close. His presidency was the most important and consequential of the last half of the 20th century and much enduring public good resulted from it. His margin of victory in 1972, just under 18M votes, remains to this day the largest in American electoral history. Both of his daughters seem to really like him. So he couldn’t possibly be the creep that you make him out to be. Before there was Trump Derangement Syndrome, there was Nixon Derangement Syndrome.
