MT the Iron Lady.! How she took out the British Economy from recession in 80s, was amazing. RR truly transformed the world scenario. USSR came down just in few years after his departure.

This wasn't a state dinner. State dinners are only given for foreign heads of state. Thatcher was only a head of government so this was only an official dinner.

In another speech President Reagan made that comment about Thatcher having a good ride. It was said in complete innocence but Christ it sounded funny. Maggie's accent is fake, she'd seen a vocal coach and she affected a cut-glass way of speaking which was not her own. Shame really, as President Reagan was always himself, and that's good enough.
