I read a book with testimonials from Secret Service agents who said that every time Reagan would get on Air Force One, he would always stop and shake the pilots' hand and thank them for what they do. Carter never did, not once.

Obama wouldn't even salute the Marines at the steps of Air Force one or Marine One when he boarded. One time, a pilot on Marine one made Obama salute the Marine. That was awesome.

Sir, Years ago, I was a property valuation Trainee in the Rent and Valuation Department. My main duty is to go out to check vacant tenants. My district was Admiraty and Central in Hong Kong. I came across a book shop in Central, Queen Road Central. I bought a book about public figures'words and those from the American movies. There was a famous saying from Mr. President, Mr. Reagan, He said, " Nancy, I forgot to duck out. " Why Mr. President, Mr Reagan was " 刺殺" after he just left the White House because he was so powerful and so capable, and polite, humorous. I am FAITHFULLY YOURS, Eric Wong Po Shun 王寶順。

Actually I noticed at the beginning of President Reagan’s talk he distinctly said “Happy Holidays” rather than “ Merry Christmas “. This was 1988 so that was rather significant. It exemplifies while most likely the majority of the military men at that luncheon were Christian, he was aware of the possible small minority of military officers and staff that were not Christian or atheist and may have not celebrated Christmas. Reagan was an interesting man.

Almost cried when he mentioned that quote from George Marshall. General Marshall is a personal hero of mine. He is the only US Army general to ever win a Nobel Peace Prize. There have been just a few Laureates that received it AFTER their military careers. And just a few more that were nominated while in service, but didn’t win. Which is what makes General George C. Marshall even more unique: he is the only active-duty service member of the US Armed Forces to ever win the Nobel Peace Prize. I had no idea he was quoted as saying that about the US military. I’ve gotta find that story. I know President Reagan was talkin’ to a bunch of Devil Dogs and Seabees here, but I see the moment just as poignantly regardless.

On 10DEC88 I was in my final weeks of boot camp, up in Great Mistakes, IL. Looking through this video, I am recalling every uniform I see with one exception. I see Sailors, wearing greens. That is a uniform I just never had. Does anyone know the purpose of those sailors being issued green uniforms? I think Corpsmen embedded with Marines get them. But I cannot imagine why there would be so many Corpsmen at Camp David. The explanation has to be different than that. Who can solve this puzzle for me?
