A little-known athlete, Caroline Nyaga, said that the message got to Faith that Nyaga was running in 10-year old shoes, and Faith donated her running spikes to her from far away. Inside the spikes, Faith put in a note "ng'ang'ana urudi na medal". Nyaga said that note is what made her run "like a mwendawazimu" and get the gold in the 10,000m women's event at the African Senior Athletics Championships, exactly 1 year ago. It was so thoughtful of Faith to write that note and put it in there

The first meaningful speech that Ruto has ever made since taking office without any insults and no reference to 'wale wengine' and without threats but only concentrated on the business of Sports, the way forward for sports and the rewards to our sportspersons. Kudos Mr.President, that's the shift that this country needs (issues, issues and work not campaigns) and is the right away to go. Am even more happier that Gachagua wasn't given the chance to spew venom and spoil the day... As for the "promises" he has made_hapo nayo it is a wait and see if his unbroken record is anything to go by.

This is a wonderful event..Indeed we are proud of our sports men, they made Kenya to be admired worldwide! They inspired the world ,It is unfortunate this recognition has commenced only today because there are many others who won world records as recently did Eliiud Kipchonge. The other thing is to recruit runners from all regions of Kenya. I am convinced even in Mijikenda tribes we can find excellent runners but they need to be helped.
