Unlike the West, China never interferes on the internal affairs of sovereign nations, hence y we appreciate and value China. We hope this state visit will deepen the ties between my country Eritrea and China whom we regard as key ally and economy partner! We Eritreans have endured nearly 15 yrs of western sanctions just because we refused to bow down to western imperialists who wanted to establish their agenda on us. China and Eritrea share a very long and proud history. Remember we were strong trading partners in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD and even before. So it's nice to see the old civilisations reclaiming their destiny and cooperating to make the world peaceful, just and prosperous. Hopefully one day Eritrea would have the strong economy to join BRICS+ as a young state (but old as a nation) Eritrea has now done the ground work of nation building so should not have any barriers to move into industrialisation swiftly and learning from the Chinese experience will be valuable especially as we forge a win-win friendship in all aspects.
