A contingent election is pretty simple and has occurred several times before. For the presidency, the house delegations decide. Each state gets 1 vote, and the representatives themselves decide how their state will vote. Wyoming and it's one representative would almost certainly vote for Trump. California maintains a sizeable democratic advantage among its elected members, so would undoubtedly vote for Biden. States with a split delegation, would not cast a vote unless compromise occurred. Moreover, states can only cast their vote for the top three electoral vote recipients, not any random individual off the street. Regarding the vice president, the senate will cast a simple majority vote and whoever wins, is elected VP. The only time this could become an issue is in a split senate of 50-50. However, the likelihood of this happening is astronomically low.

Interestingly enough, April 20th is significant historically. Apart from being Hitler’s birthday, it is also when many atrocities/tragedies have occurred in general in the past. I want America to work out. I want it to be a success. I view America as a macrocosm of humanity itself. If America fails, then maybe humanity fails.
