It's heart warming that people like Prof Utomi still exist and state the matters and truth the way they are. It remains for our corrupt politicians and businessmen to change and do the right thing. Extreme Corruption in Nigeria has destroyed the country. The country and it's leaders must learn to obey contractual agreement

The professor is accurate about the investment climate, the lack of accountability of state and federal officers, and the complete absence of due process and the rule of law in Nigeria. Government officers at all levels sign and cancel contracts without much thought. It's a complete mess out there. A country where even the federal government shows disrespect and disregard for court orders is a country that is in big trouble. The Ogun State issue is only gaining attention because of the seizure of the presidential jets. Keep in mind that this case has been ongoing for years, but it's just now getting widespread coverage in the mainstream media.

What did u expect from a country where a staff of JAMB claimed that a python swallowed a whooping billions of Naira and no action was taken against her till date? On not obeying court ruling, u should not be surprised bcos if a common governor of a state refused to obey a court order to resign as an executive governor ( Dave Umahi) of a state following his defection to APC, and no action was taken against him, I doubt if naija has judiciary bcos as far as I am concerned, Naija has just the legislation and executive in her arm of government.

It all comes down to leadership and how leaders are recruited. Nigeria's redemption is in the hands of the people whose responsibility it is to elect leaders. This former Gov Amosun, I don't think I've heard good things about him, the indigenes complain, he made Ogun state lose Dangote Refinery, he revoked the contract of the Chinese, and didn't refund, now he cancelled and refunded only half of Prof, Utomi's investment, which didn't need to be cancelled. Ogun state has so much grace and a lot of industries and factories.
