Can you hook the USB up to a computer and use it with a DJ program like virtual DJ where you can have the master on one channel and the cue deck on another?

When you use the USB output into the Mac how many individual channels stream into garageband or Logic? All 8 inputs? or more?

I haven't used it with GarageBand. It comes with its own recording software that records all the channels. And when hooked up to Adobe Audition, it tracked out all the channels as well. I would imagine that GarageBand and Logic would do the same.

how can I use that studioLive AR8 to recording music from the computer into the sd card, when I push down the sd card, it couldn't record, I need help

Can your SD card record other inputs? You have to properly format the card before putting it in the board as there is no way to format it in the board.

Ok have connected the mic, Phantom Power is on, SD Card is in, the mixer is powered on, volume on channel 1 is up. I am using a MXL BCD-1 Broadcast Dynamic Microphone and I did clear the SD card before inserting it. It seems the mic is not picking up any sound at all. Oh and I also have headphones connected. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Make sure no Mute or PFL button are on.

When I connect headphones I don't get any sound. Is there a switch or solo function I need to activate? Peace.

Make sure the PFL button isn't engaged on channel you aren't using.

Yes, it does when you plug it into a computer via USB. Presonus has their own software, but you can hook it up to any DAW and map the tracks to channels.

Agreed! We phased these out a while back. The preamps are very low.
