I compared this device to a passive big knob from Mackie (half the price) side by side and found that the PreSonus changes the sound more / is less close to the original than the Mackie. It's nice if you need the BT connectivity but otherwise I would recommend to go for another option.

I just got mine and immediately noticed the treble is way lower when running through this instead of a direct hook up to the monitors. I've been looking for someone else who noticed this. I guess I'm going to send it back. It's way too noticable.

I believe since it only has the two 1/4 inch inputs and bluetooth, you can just toggle back and forth between sources. - Gabe

you need a TRS Y splitter

Just use one trs cable to one of the inputs on the sub. The reason L & R are included on the sub is so you didn't need to create a mono sum to get the bass from the left and right channels of your signal. While using the Microstation that summed mono is being created from the left and right of your audio signal and being output through the device trs and rca sub outputs.

USB C and no power supply is included. It can use any USB 5W power supply with USB C cable.

Can you connect this to an audiointerface as well? to control everything?

It has inputs to connect an interface to it, and you can then control the level of sound that goes to your monitors, however you are not able to control the interface directly with this.

When you say 'control' I'm assuming you mean control the interface's volume with the big knob. And the answer is yes.

It is designed for one set of monitors with one stereo main out and a sub out, but you could potentially use the aux output depending on your setup. - Sam
