PreSonus Micro Station BT 2.1 Monitor Controller with Bluetooth - Review

This is an awesome little unit that will help your workflow whether recording, editing, or mixing. You get to see how I have it wired into my DAW interface and how I added a sub to my existing audio layout at home. As always thanks for watching and tell your friends about this new audio channel.

Its seems from what your describing you should be able to. That was what i had to do. Ive had it for a while and love it.

You can use any USB power source, like a phone charger. Presonus says the USB port has no use for a computer, it is only for power.

How did you use it with the sub? Only one cable?

They should have put the headphone output on the front.

Thanks for the review. One question is, why connect your Audio Interface outputs to Presonus BT inputs? What if I get no input cables on the Presonus BT and have it's outputs to my monitors with TRS/XLR. Wouldn't that give a better quality sound, since it's passing through one less component? My main use case is to connect my phone to it's BT so I can use my sound monitors like a soundsystem (just 2 monitors, for now). Cheers thanks

Yes you can definitely do that. I was just adding a sub and wanted to add Bluetooth to my existing setup. My interface doesn't have a option for a sub out and with my jbls monitors they also have no pass through signal that I could send for a sub. But if I'm understanding you correctly you should be able to use this device as you described

Nice - I have a dillemma here myself.. I just bought a Samsung Smart Monitor 43" and if I am going to watch via stream on it I can only use the built in speakers for some reason. The only way I could hook up my excisting PreSonus Eris E5 Monitors with Temblor T8 Subwoofer is via bluetooth... I wonder if I could use this gadget for it - I only use two mains out to the 2.1 speakers (no extra for the sub)?! If that's the case I would buy this and connect my TV-sound through Bluetooth for sure... -Never the less: tnx for the video :) -Arnt P in Norway 😀

I would say it should be possible. You could always check with a sales rep to double check it will work before you buy

I'm new to a lot of this, but could this connect to a Toppings D10s (has RCA line out and Optical/Coaxial out), but also connect to Edifier MR4 Powered Studio Monitor Speakers that have RCA and TRS as connections? I was looking at Focusrite - Scarlett Solo 4th Generation Audio Interface, but I don't think I would be able to connect my speakers to it. The goal is to just have a good volume knob for headphones or for my monitor speakers without using the control volume in windows. Would the Focusrite be able to replace my toppings D10s? I just don't know if it will be an upgrade or downgrade in sound quality.

From what it looks like to me it should work using the trs connections only. The other connection will not work because it is spdif. But then you can hook sub up from the micro station
