Presonus Studio One File Locations - Organizing your Files and Songs

This was a question from a subscriber that we answered in the video.
"I’m trying to find the right file structure so I dont have multiple Studio One files all over the place. The problem started when I tried to get everything onto an external hard drive. I’ve now got multiple copies of four of the main files - User Data, Soundsets, Presets, and Songs - replicating all over. I’m trying to determine how to consolidate and remedy this."

It helps but still confusing. I was told I can use a SSD drive for all of studio to save space on my Mac Mini (I don’t have money for a larger one with a 1TB+ drive) but it still reverts to documents drive and cannot save all of Studio One + on either which makes no sense to me. But I go back to Preferences and see it all reset back to documents folder instead of external drive

Hmm, Weird, I definitely have all my big sound sets and samples on a separate drive.

He tried, but this is something I wish Presonus would set up a better or more simpler way to do file management. So many people are so confused by this file management system. This is one thing that sucks in S1.

I'm about to buy a new computer but I don't want to lose all my S1 templates, plugin presets and control surface plugin maps. Where do I find where they are stored so I can back them up so that I can import them when I get my new pc?

Where are the Studio One Loops etc. stored? I want to delete stuff I don't need, but I just can't find the folders they're located in.

Should be in the folder that sound sets are installed in your options menu

@@dawjunkie-studio-onehey man, how does the set root and set root from here in the files menu work? I'm trying to tag my favourite folders to access them quickly. Please make a video if you can.
