I was a little disappointed in our off season moves initially after losing Smart, Brogdon and Williams III but with Jrue coming in we have a vet with championship experience that is very similar to Smart. We got a few other role players that I think will work out great with our team. Expecting big things this year for the Celtics!

Jrue is on Smart's level in terms of leadership and defense, and a better ball handler and general offense player. Smart was very good, but too often he made an over-aggressive pass and turned the ball over at a bad time. He was also a decent shooter, but thought he was a great shooter, so he tended to take shots that could and should have been taken by better scorers. I liked Brogdan a ton, but it feels like the Celtics,(and other teams) might not be confident of his health. I hate losing Time Lord. Even with is injury situation, having a rim protector of his caliber was a big advantage. With Horford not getting any younger, let's hope Porzhingas can focus on blocking more shots.

Jrue is going to make this team absolutely terrifying on the perimeter, especially if JT & JB setup their defense this year. I know Dame & Giannis is scary with all that depth they have over there. But Jrue is still slept on in the sense that I think the gap between these teams is very small. If you know ball you know what I mean he affects the game on so many ways that aren’t in the stat sheet. Didn’t have the best playoffs last year but that along with being traded will have him hungry. Celtics definitely a finals contender.
