Clubs a joke mate. We’ve needed a right winger, a centre back and a goalie for several windows now and whilst everyone else strengthens we stand still. Apparently every other club can circumvent FFP/PSR but not us, gamely following the rules to the letter. Or rather the PIF no longer give a shit. Howe bares much responsibility for keeping players like longstaff Almiron and Wilson way beyond there use, the decision not to sell that triumvirate in summer 2023 a catastrophic one, he’s exactly what Bournemouth fans said - talented, articulate, etc, but also stubborn, tactically rigid, questionable in game management skills and over loyalty to bang average players who are part of his clique. People who actually care about the club are the ones kicking off and demanding questions, the sheeple who think supporting is saying HWTL and gullibly believing everything the club and manager say no matter how nonsensical (how can there be no money to spend when we were ready to part with £75m for Marc guehi in august?) are part of the problem

Frustrating to see clubs like ManU claiming higher covid allowances than any other club, frustrating to see interest free loans going into clubs like arsenal and Brighton from shareholders. While we work by the book! You can’t just pick four players and click fingers to replace them with better players. Players have the right to see out a contract. Players signing contract extensions has a negative impact on PSR. So much more comes into play than just swapping four sticker cards with your mate. I agree frustrating but far from being a joke.

Dan Burn has been huge for us. Of the 3 CB's in the equation he is the one I'd mind losing the most at the moment, not only for being a monster but for being a huge respected voice in this team that provides a lot of confidence. Schar is the best technically no doubt but he is not 100% reliable, has too many moments of losing his head and going on and on which for me shows a bit of insecurity and reflects on his overall performances.

Schar must play, we play passing out of the back, and need his ability, pressing teams just press all the other players apart from burn, so he ends up being the one passing forward, or we need 2 midfielders to drop deep to provide an easy pass for our defense, scharr is invaluable against a high press as he can instantly ping the ball to Gordon High up the pitch and just bypass half the pressing team

Think the winning run and run of clean sheets showed we can still score without Schar and were more solid defensively. Schar takes a lot of unnecessary risks. Botman reads the game really really well. Both of them and Dan Burn look like they struggle for pace so reading the game and positioning is critical

There's something odd about that Deloitte list of wealthiest clubs. All the other clubs are listed in the numerical order of their earnings, but for some reason Newcastle have been bumped up to 15th place even though the two clubs "below" us, Juve and West Ham, are listed as having higher earnings than us. It's a bit odd. Numerically we should be 17th. Maybe that grabs less headlines than being able to say we're in the top 15. Probably motivated by the usual desire for Saudi bashing that always follows us around like a bad smell. You'd think a journalist might've asked them why. Our number is 317.8M. Still a long way short of other premier league clubs: Man U - 770.6M, Arsenal - 716.5M, Liverpool - 714.7M, Spurs - 615M, Chelsea - 545.5M and West Ham - 322.2M. A long way still to go before we can realistically compete under psr rules.
