If like myself youve supported saints for fourty years +. Youll know this is a really good season. You achieve the things we've done this year is amazing. Unfortunately we are up against 3 teams that are at least as good as us if not better. We have the best man at the top for as long as can remember, well since bally. The fans moaning have no clue. They can f**k off, and support man utd or city or liverpoop. What do you expect from a club like us? We've a great manager, good players, and now it looks like we are getting it together backstage. This speaks for me. I'm sick of the fanboys who spout crap, wondering why we aren't Argentina or why we haven't signed (insert top international name). They need a reality check. I've loved this season and perhaps we will fall short but equally, we've been a breath of fresh air compared to recent seasons.

INCREDIBLE, THE SHEER NUMBER OF negative-minded ‘armchair fans’…………happy enough during the 25 unbeaten run but 2 ‘gut-wrenching losses’ & now some fans are WANTING (demanding ?) a new manager & a total change of………TEAM ? EVEN MAN CITY,BARCELONA etc have blips in form !

Really grateful for the team being more exciting and better-functioning this season. BUT. It's becoming a recurring theme to hear Russ say how we were the better side, should have taken 3 points. Whilst it's good to hear him say we need to be better in both boxes, I'm not so sure it's all about mentality. I would question Gaz's save percentages, and also the need to play with more caution/solidity when defending a lead. The other piece of the puzzle that is missing is obvious Ross Stewart, but there's nothing really that can be done about that...

Russell, please understand that it's not always about being 'negative' or 'positive' - it's about improving and LEARNING, which goes for you as much as the players. You've been fantastic in so many ways. It means a lot. The team is unrecognisable compared to last year's disaster, in terms of spirit, effort, ambition and patterns of play. I love aspects of our game now. BUT, my eyes don't lie to me after 40 years of watching football and playing to a decent standard. We need an alternative shape to go to when we're winning with 30 minutes to go, when teams throw everything at us. All great managers are willing to do this. Please stick someone next to Downesey and go 4231 for those last 20, 30 minutes. Not all suggestions are us being 'negative'. You can't imagine how much I love Saints.

The last goal was avoidable, 4 players watching him try and control the ball and then score. The ball should have been cleared as soon as he had his first touch. It has been a great season, but yes, no adaptability means we get sussed out easily.

Seems a load of ALI DIA’s on the thread, ‘moaning like 🦆’ after 2 STUPID DEFEATS FROM WINNING/DRAWING POSITIONS……………………….BUT bad 👉🏻💩 ‘append in football,even MAN CITY, MAN UTD,BARCELONA,have crazy moments (EVEN SAINTS have hit some teams really hard at times) ! AS FOR OUR GOALKEEPER,EVEN the world’s ‘best goalies’ have blips (GORDON BANKS, EVEN probs had SOME shockers at times ?)

As a team, defensively we are dreadful both with & without the ball, we concede 1.4 goals per game in only 38% of game time which is probably the worst in the league, every team we play against knows that when our attacking play breaks down or we are in a defensive mode of play, they will get an opportunity to score & that’s something that RM & his coaches have not addressed this season.
