did you put a top coat over the nails with the butterfly sequens? , to get them to stick did you add a nail coat first then place the butterfly's on?

I put a nail coat first then placed the butterflies cured it and then applied top coat on top :)

Curing is for gel polish. Gel polish is different from regular nail polish. Regular nail polish can air dry and Gel polish can’t, it needs a UV/LED Lamp.

Hi I need some advice when I pulled the finish nail off the stand blue putty was hard to get out sticky pieces of the putty were inside the nail and residue on top of the nails how do you remove the nail from the nail stand and remove the putty

I try not to put to much putty just enough for the nails to stick. Then I will take a cuticle pusher ( a toothpick works just as well ) to take off the putty, sometimes it comes off with no effort. For the little pieces I just take the putty I was able to remove and use it to pick off the smaller pieces of putty that are harder to remove. Hope that helps !!

Thank you I also found what my error was I buffed the inside of the nail I confused that step with another video I watched but I was suppose to buff the inside when I was ready to apply the nail! I did a new set no buffing on the inside of nail just the top as you suggested they came out beautiful to remove the putty I just put a little alcohol on the rubber end of a cuticle pusher and it slid off

I’d say cure your thumb first that way the gel polish doesn’t start shifting and then cure the rest of your fingers :)

If it’s sticky after you cure your nails with a top coat spray the nail with some alcohol and wipe it with a lint free wipe or a piece of paper towel. That should help ☺️

Yeah it is a bit bumpy ): I think the only way for it not to be bumpy is if you were using the butterflies with an acrylic set , like incapsulating them

You can encapsulate the nail with builder gel or acrylic. I typically use IBD builder gel. Then buff and topcoat the nail.

I actually done this before and doesn’t it bother you how thin the nails are or how the butterflies stick out a little from the top coat or you end up with a slightly bumpy top layer? Like I can definitely see yours and its just like that when you’re showing the “finished” product. Don’t you get complaints from your clients
