I love this game. I also stand firmly in the 1% or so that thinks Rusty Bucket Bay is a masterclass of level design. It is the only level that in most areas makes you genuinely uncomfortable. Water isn't safe, the only bottomless pit in the game exists in the engine room, among other reasons. I would wind up making a very long video about this game if I ever got motivated to do that kind of thing.

Mumbo's Mountain is friendly territory. Because it belongs to a friend, Mumbo, and his industrial district. You just have to watch out for a few of his pranky (and sometimes cranky!) friends along the way before robbing his storage system of its jiggy goodies.

To be fair Mumbos Mountain is more like a Tutorial level ^^ I agree on Treasure Trove Cove. Bubblegloop Swamp is a kinda meh to me, and no I'm not full into Freezy Park, it kinda felt like a chore to me, although I liked the presents minigame and the christmas tree minigame. I love the Rusty Bucket Bay and Mad Monster Mansion! I 100%ed both of them as a kid and yes RBR is quiet harder than MMM. My fav still is Click Clock Woods (spring variation!) - I love being the bee and watching all the stuff in there. Almost like I could live there in a Wood Cabin :D

Click clock woods had like almost a magical thing for me because it was so hard to get to that point, best music and level design. Also the quiz sort of was part of that level since it was in that tree.

Even as a kid in the 90s I always wondered how on earth Clanker's Cavern made it into an E rated game. The thought that Rare showed Nintendo this poor half organic half metal sea creature created to be grunty's "garbage disposal" with wounds and scabs all over it AND you can go inside it and mess with its insides all while it's swimming in fecal matter and Nintendo was like "yeah this is fine". Surely I wasn't the only kid to find this shit disturbing and I'm glad now that I know I'm not. I'm so glad it ended up being in the game though because it was probably the best sewer level ever made, and my God the music is fantastic. Ahh the 90s.. and Rare.
