This Ole Miss team is power-ranked in the top 5 of CFP yet the coaching just can't get out of their own way. How many field goals were left on the field again today on 4th downs? We've been playing football now for over 100 years, theres nothing new that analytics is going to add, there is a time to go for it and a time to take the points. The Ole Miss coaches just don't have a clue as to when to do what and yet the opposing coaching often does. Advantage: OPPONENTS What is the fascination with small runningbacks that you had to bypass all of your skilled RBs and go to a WR to run the ball all game? It wasn't til the 4th quarter til they wised up and threw in Domonique Thomas and where was Ulyssey Bentley? I'm done watching the rest of the games because they don't mean squat and I'd be surprised if the NFL-bound players won't opt out. Please don't try and blame this on missing Tre Harris. I said Lagway was going to get his passes off quick but it was the coaching moves which killed this game. The people who said this was going to be an easy Ole Miss win don't know ball.

I have been pissed about Bentley all year. He has always been good at getting a break away long td run every couple of games if you keep giving him the ball. He did it last year and he even got 1 long one this year and the 12 yard td run for a td in the Georgia game. He should have been in from the get go or getting as many. carries as Parrish. I have to question a lot of the coaching decisions because a lot of them have cost us games.

I am old and resigned to the fact that my lifetime of following Ole Miss Football has been all for nothing. Fans don't matter. If they did they would have kicked the field goals. It's that simple. Going for it on 4th down way too often and too early gets bad results. Because of the poor choices made in all 3 losses that didn't have to be, the fans lose again. I guess another disappointing almost end to the season doesn't really matter any more. Next week's game doesn't matter at this point. Any bowl game will be a joke because there will be a lot of opt outs. So...not even going to say maybe next year. It's never going to happen. Never.

Lot of Kiffin hate here. He has built this program from nothing. Record wins last year and likely 10-3 this year. That is great for Ole Miss. Yes, it’s a disappointment but the program is ascending. Tough day in the Swamp. It just makes one wonder if the Rebs were feeling the pressure of having to win today or its "one and done" for the rest of the season. Oddly enough, as a group the players looked visibly lethargic or sluggish for some reason, especially the receiving corps. It interesting Coach Kiffin used the word "unusual" to note key aspects of the game. Watkins dropping a pass that hit him in the hands for a sure touchdown. Dart forcing multiple throws into heavy coverage. Unusual for sure. Maybe we've just gotten spoiled as Rebs fans this year seeing our receivers haul in virtually everything Dart throws in their direction? Agree with others questioning the analytics. Three made field goals totally changes the face of the game. But, of course, all of us are arm chair quarterbacks! The Rebs are trending in the right direction with an outstanding defense this season and a deeply satisfying defeat of Georgia. Keep up the good work lads. Better days are ahead.

Gator fan here. Um, our boys did NOT "whoop" Ole Miss. They barely beat them, while giving up over 400 yds on defense (again). I attended the game expecting to lose, but HOPING we could pull off a second consecutive upset. We were fortunate to to so.

Mississippi is so poor that it has no pro team of any sports and only the college sports teams for its residents to cheer for. Ole Miss and MS State football teams are the two biggest teams that they hang their hopes on, but their hopes for this season are dashed. Now, Ole Miss, at least, must redeem some respect and pride by winning in a non-CFP bowl game. Btw, has either team ever won the NCAA title in football? What about in basketball?
