Please how can I set pressure on my parker p3 series hydraulic pump

I couldn’t understand why there is no effect on system pressure due to reduction in pump displacement...Flow decreases from 10GPM to 6 or 7 GPM owing to change in swash plate angle...System pressure might also have been affected accordingly (although not much as we didn’t change hydraulic resistance of the circuit significantly). But in the video, it was constant at 100 psi..Is my understanding correct ??

Open loop pumps dont have internal pressure releasing function so they holding the pressure within the line till that needle valve unscrewed, The control system only stops the further flow (By regulating swash plate angle to neutralize the piston stokes) once after the set pressure has been achieved. In case minor pressure drop, swash plate further allow the pump to make flow.
