Pressure | The Journey Towards Lockerless

Alright, who's ready for some nerd stats! (Assuming I didn't miss anything anyway.) This may also contain spoilers for the video, so if you haven't watched it yet, don't peek! Or do, I can't really stop you. Now then, hopefully I've done this all correctly because if not I'm going to look like an idiot on the internet. 96 attempts were had, including the successful run, meaning there were 95 failed attempts. The most common cause of death was, as you'd expect, the regular Angler with 67, causing 63.65% of all of my failed attempts. The runner up is a tie between Pandemonium and Pinkie funnily enough, both with 7 deaths each, or 6.65% of all failed attempts. In third place are Turrets, with 4 deaths or 3.8% of all failed attempts. In fourth place is Froger with only 3 deaths, or 2.85% of all failed attempts. In joint fifth are Wall Dwellers and Blitz, with only 2 deaths each or 1.9% of all failed attempts. And lastly, Chainsmoker, Good People and Myself caused only 1 failure, or 0.95% of all failed attempts. As for the most common room types I encountered: Maintenance Tunnels were the clear winner with it showing up 38 seperate times, or in roughly 36.48% of all attempts, including the successful one. Keep in mind, these room types can show up multiple times per run, so take these with a grain of salt. In second place are the Trench Tunnels, showing up 30 seperate times or in roughly 28.8% of all attempts. In third place by only one point are the River Rooms, which showed up 29 seperate times or in roughly 27.84% of all attempts. Oxygen Gardens are next, with them showing up 20 seperate times, or in roughly 19.2% of all attempts. Server Farms and Heavy Containment are both together, showing up only 11 times or in roughly 10.56% of all attempts. Finally, the rarest room type I encountered (as it should be) are The Sewers, with them only showing up in 3 runs, or in roughly 2.88% of all attempts. I had a total of 10 Gauntlets, meaning I had a Gauntlet in around 9.6% of all of my attempts. I made it to Sebastian's Shop in 26 out of 96 runs, or around 24.96% of all attempts. Basically, 1 in 4 of my runs made it to Sebastian's Shop. I made it to Searchlights in 15 out of 96 runs, or around 14.4% of all attempts. And finally, I only made it to The Ridge 5 times, or in only 4.8% of all attempts. Feel free to leave a comment about how my math is wrong, I haven't done this in a while lol

FYI if you see the final Ridge door, an angler takes a left turn and does not go towards the airlock door. Also if you've open the last door to the final room, no more angler can ever spawn (unless it already spawned before you open the door)

Nope. In my experience, lockers are completely transparent underwater, i was leading a tbs run once, and told the followers to hide behind a locker that was near the main path, Pinkie completely killed them all.

@@YewterMan in my 72 wins and 300+ deaths I've only ever gotten pandemonium underwater 3 times, so I don't typically bother with searching for "sketchy" PSS's unless I know there's a high likelihood. useful information though

I got every badge, I became a tbs leader in many discord servers, I started speedrunning and got top 70, top 30 on duos, and after 250 attempts of bad luck, still no lockerless....

18:20 im not sure if that exact spot is a pss, i think that whole specific room with the stairs backwards on the right is weird. I swear ive had anglers spawn but after they passed, all lights were on in there and some people didnt even do the minigame when pande went through that room. I think the node pathing is broken there and it makes them go on the outside of the room somehow

I did lockerless twice with only one mistake in each attempt. The first time after a couple days of grinding i got the DOORS room type, and pinkie came. There were literally no safespots there, ever, but i revived and beat the game (I don't recall if i used lockers after reviving or not, but it doesn't matter). The second time is actually my fault, i hid in a locker to avoid a turret without realising my mistake, and then beat it anyway. I was so sad you can't imagine... It was miserable. I probably won't be trying to beat it again anytime soon, but it would probably not take that long since i already have a ton of experience. The 2 unsuccessful runs i had just described were both in august by the way. If anyone wants to do this badge, you HAVE to find a tutorial, the ones made by SmilingFigure are pretty good but theres another better one which i forgot who it was made by. Without tutorials, you won't have proper knowledge of which spots are safe and which are not, or you will use them the wrong way. If anyone is actually trying to do it, i wish you luck! And don't make the same mistakes i did. Always keep wall dwellers and avoiding lockers at turreted rooms in mind.

Big thing that improved my runs is just, don’t care. Don’t care about the node timer. Don’t care about pandemonium. Just… GO. You gotta understand that no matter what, in lockerless it’s all decided on luck, so instead of wasting a lot of time waiting for the node timer or staying in a place because you’re nervous just go. You get a lot more runs in, and you’d be surprised how little the node timer actually happens when you don’t deliberately wait for it. By just not caring I cut my time to reach ridge in HALF, which originally took me an hour. Also for some reason I get to ridge a-lot more in lockerless runs where I just don’t care.

I got lockerless on my alt and surprisingly it took me three ATTEMPTS but on my main it took me 70 tries so if you keep trying you will get it eventually you just need to know your pss and ss places and you have to pray for a good RNG especially in the ridge also my alt's username is "GobbiesHopsV" so can see my alt's badges if you don't believe me if you want to 😅
