What most likely happened was either Pande saw them or the other way around and they thought they had hide like any normal angler but forgot that it tracks until it kills you or you hide in a locker and die or win the mini game

Lucky for you Some of us just don't have that many friends..., but having a team that actually listens,and are not idiots, who don't listen, rush ahead, stealing lockers, doesn't report working ss and pss THESE ALL HAPPENED TO ME, and it was absolut hell, i never got to even first Searchlight, cuz of how people just don't listen Now i have prob enough friends to do it, and they all are listening, and working together, we got to around door 80 in the 6th run, and then we took a break, cuz it has been mutiple hours by that point, and one of us had to g The only thing needed is: -7 friends -7 friends who are listening, not locker stealers,and report any spots that the Leader might have missed -RNG

@@Ozzy_the_cat Yes Yesterday we did multiple attempts, in the second run(door 47) chat just went f*cking offline, and it didn't work for 10 mins, we somehow survived it,no comunication,that run ended with one of us getting disconnected. 3rd run we got Past First Searchlight, one of the Co-Leaders(who makes sure everyone is in the ss/pss or has locker) died to an unexpected Angler spawn, we were around door 80 Those 3 runs took like 4 hours, we ended up pushing the next attempt to tomorow(today)
