Nice job.shooting the steps back to front not trapping the rebound very important

This type of work is an art, that I do not have the skills for. I am so amazed how concrete is free hand formed into something. I can pour concrete out of a bucket and stab at it and smear it around and all I have is a wet pile of concrete.

What is the 2 handed straight edge tool that the crew is using to "slice" concrete of the walls of the pool?

These guys really are top notch gunite crew. I just had my pool done by Cali Gunite and they are not even close to the quality of work prestige does. Cali Gunite is very sloppy. Bad finish edges. Prestige almost looks like they are doing finish work. What a difference. I love it when I see someone that takes pride in what they do

Flashing a pool as what they did in the end of the job is not good what they did earlier is already curing that stuff's probably not going to bond depending on the temperature to hot to cold.not good

WELL DONE... where was this video taken, I saw no weep holes in floor and the steel schedule both bond beam and walls is sure different than here in Silicon Valley,and much wetter floor than we do here,any special reason why so wet?
@stevelopez3725 жыл бұрын
scott Sugarbear Pearson Yea seems to have more moisture than I see in SoCal. Weep holes in the floor? Do you have high water tables in your area requiring installation of hydro-static valves in the bottom?

I always did/do just as a precaution or if homwowner ever needs to drain pool, guniter's have always left several weep holes deep and shallow ends, I have seen a Toland gunite shell once lift out in Fremont,Ca.

That’s the worst bottom finishing job that I’ve ever seen in my life you’re not supposed to throw rebound in the floor you’re not supposed to float over it bad craftsmanship

Shotecrete is a superior way over gunite
@stevelopez3725 жыл бұрын
Syd Crete Seems either provide the necessary strength. Have you seen compressive strength test data to suggest one is superior over the other?

Steve Lopez in the long run shotcrete will outlast gunite.
@stephencapachione41072 жыл бұрын
No it is not shotcrete is only good in it's environment it's all depending where you are what type of weather is all about the curing process remember gunite done right no joints
@dcshotcrete2 жыл бұрын
@@stephencapachione4107 Shotcrete in its environment , pretty sure I've posted video in rain , sun, and shooting into water. Gunite is good for sunny weather , unless there's a video Gunite users shooting under the same conditions floating around youtube.
